Hi,

Try to start my Sierra account for about 3 hour. In screen all the time Waiting to download historical data. Just updated Sierra to the new version! not able to trade now....!! That is NOT good!!

Normally I have to wait 15 minutes for Sierra to start up (also too long). But now it looks like nothing happens..

I contacted AMP and they don't know. Now I spend a lot of time in structure my charts. And they are stuck. only say Waiting to Download Historical Data.

Normally I have to wait 15 minutes for Sierra to start up (also too long). But now it looks like nothing happens..
You should generally only have to wait less than 10 seconds. This is exceptionally long. Refer to this help topic:

Also, instead of using Rithmic we recommend changing over to this new service:

Hi,

I am a trader not a software engineer. I hate computerproblems, I pay for platform, data and broker and I think I can expect my problems be solved. Or is this too much? So I do not understand you say "This is the most direct help you can get here on the Support Board.' If Ritmic is not your favor why is this being advised? you are my only chance for a solution! And pay monthly for rithmic and pay for your platform. I never saw anything about the fact that Ritmic was not good. You have a connection with them through your DTS. So I think and hope you will help me. Else what can I do.

First we cannot deal with a Chartbook that takes 15 minutes to load. This is not within the scope of our support at all. You need to update your computer hardware significantly, and use multiple instances of Sierra Chart. You are not going to finish that, by this afternoon. All of that, is your responsibility. If you require our help on that, it will be chargeable and we would have to find time, next week.

What we need you to do right now is to close your Chartbooks with File >> Close All Chartbooks.

We want you to reconnect to the data feed:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

And then open two or three charts through File >> Find Symbol. Do you have any trouble with the historical data downloading?

Yesterday somebody advised me to use the Sierra data. I don't understand the routing through a broker. If I choose to work with Sierra data do I need to pay 2x for dataservices (1x Sierra and 1x through broker) please let me know because I do not understand. Broker is saying I need to pay extra for example CQG.

Hi,

Today it looked like the problem solved when I removed a daily chart that showed 365 days. But unfortunatly again when opening all charts they show 'Waiting to download Historical Data'

User called and issue resolved. We did not precisely determine what the problem was but it did relate to Symbol Settings. We would like to contact you again over the weekend or on Monday and get the symbol settings file that we put into the recycle bin so we can do testing on our side.

Please let me know when you would like to access my computer. Unfortunatly problem still occurs. After you finished and restart same problem. At the moment (market closed) charts open perfectly and problem does not occur.

We need to add more diagnostic logging to isolate the problem. This whole thing is very unusual. We have not seen a problem like this before.

We want you to update to the latest "Prerelease" following the instructions here:
Software Download: Fast Update

This will be version 1969 but it will not be out for about 30 minutes. So wait about 30 minutes.

Hi,

Another question. I was looking at the Sierra data setup for the full CME. Normally with my broker I pay 15$ for full CME + 30$ for Sierra platform total of $45/month. Now it looks like I have to pay 25$ for Denali Exchange Services (what is this?) and 15$ for the full CME that is 40$ / month + Charting 30$ is total 70$ / month. That is a hugh price change. Or am I making a mistake?

I would like to only take the full CME, 15$ and data routing TT through my broker ( I thought 0.10 or 0.20ct / roundturn) + Sierra platform 30$ / month

Can you please explain the 70$ cost and what Denali is?
