In this thread we are going to describe several planned changes.

When these changes go into effect, are described for each item.

A link to this thread is given in the Sierra Chart System Notification window which you can access through Help >> Open System Message in Browser. This message does automatically open when you start Sierra Chart, unless you chose the option to no longer display it.

Reducing Overall Costs
----------------------------------------

We first want to describe reducing overall costs. If you are actively trading, you can reduce your transaction fees by using the Teton order routing service which delivers the very best service as compared to everything else out there, whether this is Interactive Brokers, CQG, Rithmic, Transact, CTS, or OEC.

There are no transaction fees for this service.

The Teton Order Routing Service is available now through many clearing firms and brokers. AMP does not support Teton.


Another way to reduce costs is to switch to our Simulated Futures Trading service:

You can use either delayed or real-time data.

We can also expand that service to support stocks as well. Let us know if you would like that.


Discontinued External Services
----------------------------------------

Support for the following external Trading services is being discontinued by Sierra Chart in newer versions. Effective dates are given.

-Transact Trading effective with version 2354. More information:

For Transact older versions are not affected, but will be affected some time around June 2022 when we remove Transact specific historical data support for Transact users.

-CTS expected sometime in March 2022. Older versions are not affected.

-Gain Capital expected sometime in April 2022. Older versions are not affected.

These are being removed because we have superior solutions available (Teton), and we are reducing the number of supported services to the very best and the most commonly used ones.

Service Package Changes
----------------------------------------

The following service package changes are being made:

For the following items, this goes into effect for usage time renewals made after May 17, 2022 and for new accounts effective May 17, 2022:

Service package 10, or 11, or 12 will be required to use the following external services:

-Interactive Brokers
-CQG
-Rithmic
-LMAX
-IQ Feed
-Transact
-CTS
-Gain Capital

There are no pricing changes for any of the Sierra Chart Service Packages. They all remain the same:

Service Package 3 and 5 will remain, and as always supports a combination of delayed data from exchanges and real-time data which do not require exchange fees.

If you are not performing live trading, and just simply watching the market and practicing, you can stay on Service Package 3 or 5 and you have access to all of these market data services:

Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service
Delayed Exchange Data Feed
Sierra Chart Historical Data Service
Sierra Chart Market Statistics
Cryptocurrency / Bitcoin Data and Trading Services

And you have access to Trade Simulation Mode and the Simulated Futures Trading Service:

You have the ability to freely move between any of the service packages at any time. You just simply change your Service Package and there is no billing. Only the existing usage time is adjusted. Change your Service Package here:

To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions.


Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services".

Press "OK"

And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service)

You can then use the data provided by Sierra Chart independent of your trading service.

We want to update this thread, and say that we are going to maintain Service Package 5 for now. We may also combine Service Packages 3 and 5, with a price based on the average of the two.

This is the updated list of external services which will require Service Package 10, or 11, or 12 in order to connect Sierra Chart to these external services:

The change with the new added services, will go in effect, May 29. After this date, Service Package 10, 11 or 12 will be required for new Sierra Chart accounts and when you pay for additional new usage time.

We expect AMP will be supporting Teton Order Routing sometime in the next 30 to 60 days. We have seen definite steps on their side to support Teton order routing. However, if AMP does not support Teton order routing within this time frame, or you would like to move to Teton now, then do use a broker that does support Teton.

The reason we mentioned this, is because if you are using CQG through AMP and now have to use package 10 or higher to use CQG, consider that you can then move to Teton order routing and reduce your trading costs potentially significantly or very substantially. And with the minimal additional cost of Service Package 10, this will mean, you will have at minimal or no increase in cost to use Service Package 10, or a very substantial savings.

And also consider inflation and that Sierra Chart has not raised prices for many years and we have done the opposite and actually have reduced prices.

Regarding post #6 we have no idea about AMP supporting Teton. We have not heard anything further.

If you want to use Teton and we strongly advise CQG users to move to Teton, then you will need to change brokers for now.

If you are unable to connect to your external service whether this is Rithmic, CQG, IQ Feed, LMAX, or Interactive Brokers we will resolve this for your account by providing access to Service Package 12 at no cost for 60 days. Although to take advantage of the full 60 days, you do need to have a paid Sierra Chart account at any other Service Package during that time.

We will respond with:

After that you need to change to Service Package 10 or 11 depending upon whether you were using Service package 3 or 5. Package 10 is equivalent to package 3 and package 11 is equivalent to package 5. Service Package 10 and 11 support connections to external services.
