Information for Transact Users for Versions 2354 and Higher

Starting with version 2354 and higher, Sierra Chart no longer has technical integration to the Transact service. That has been discontinued.

For more information about this, refer to this thread:
*Important* Priority Message to Transact Users

It is only necessary to read the first post #1 in the thread linked above.

There are three possibilities:

1. You will need to move to a new broker and use our Teton Order Routing Service which replaces Transact:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

We will make this process very easy. If you need help, just simply post here and we will have a broker contact you. Or you can choose one among the list at step 2 here:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions

The process of moving to a new broker is very easy and they handle the transition for you. Much easier than moving to a new trading platform.

Additionally, to use the Teton Order Routing Service and also get real-time data, requires that you change to Service Package 10, 11 or 12. The instructions linked above explain this.

2. Or if you just require Sierra Chart for charting only, change to Service Package 10, 11 or 12 and use the Denali Exchange Data Feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed (Full information about this service is on this page as well as instructions to use it)

And then follow this easy solution to authorize the CME Group data at nonprofessional exchange fees:
Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement

3. You can keep your account at Ninja Trader and ask Ninja Trader to move you from the Transact system to CQG. In this case you will still need to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed for data:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

Instructions for CQG:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

Although the Teton Order Routing Service is going to provide you overall a higher quality level of order management as compared to CQG and zero cost by comparison to CQG .10 USD per fill. We know that from experience.

And we believe that you will be able to lower your costs by using Teton with a supported broker, as compared to using CQG and Ninja. We have heard, that Infinity/Transact users are typically saving 1 USD per round turn through a broker supporting Teton. The choice is yours but please consider the possibilities.

4. (Option removed)

----

In either case, you can continue to use your very same installation of Sierra Chart and you do not need to make any changes to your Chartbooks. All that remains compatible with the Teton Order Routing Service. You will just need to translate the symbols only, by using this command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

Older versions of Sierra Chart will maintain support for Transact to approximately June 2022 but support can end at any moment in time. Ninja trader could also discontinue support for Transact at any time.

To go back to the version of Sierra Chart you were using before, refer to the instructions here:
Software Download: Software Rollback Procedure

In this way, you can continue to use Transact for the time being. If you do go back to an earlier version to continue to use Transact, you can translate the symbols in your Chartbooks back to the Transact symbols with Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

---

When you begin to use version 2354 or higher and the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service is set to "Transact WS", then the following is what happens:

When you open your Chartbooks, the symbols will be automatically translated to the symbol format used by the Teton Order Routing Service. This is the replacement service for Transact. And is a much higher quality replacement in numerous ways.

If you are using the Denali Exchange Data Feed and paying for the exchange fees, you will continue to get real-time CME Group data for up to 30 days. Thereafter, you will need to connect with a compatible service like Teton. For other exchanges you get from the Denali Data Feed, you will continue to receive those in real time without any time restriction.

If you are not using the Denali Exchange Data Feed, you will receive streaming delayed data for your charts.

In all cases, the historical data is provided by the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service. There is nothing special to do. This happens automatically.

----

If you have any further questions, post them at the bottom of this thread here and we will get them answered for you;
Information for Transact Users for Versions 2354 and Higher

We also, are going to be removing support for CTS, and Gain Capital. We are removing services that we consider legacy services from our point of view. We are working to streamline Sierra Chart, to the extent possible, into a single unified method for market data and exchange connectivity. And provide a superior and much higher quality level of service to our users.

----

Finally, we can rename your Sierra Chart username to not include this portion at the beginning:
Transact_User_

If you would like that, please let us know. Do not create another Sierra Chart account please.

The Teton Order Routing Service, which we have developed to replace all the other various trading platform services, and trading services that Sierra Chart supports, is fully developed by Sierra Chart.

This is a high quality service designed and built for Sierra Chart. We control this service end to end. Of course the actual creation of trading accounts, and risk monitoring is handled by clearing firms/brokers. So we have no control over creation of accounts or setting risk parameters. You must go to your broker for that.

The Teton Order Routing Service is supported by numerous clearing firms and brokers.

Since this is a solution fully developed by Sierra Chart, we can provide technical help and solutions for any issues you have and we have designed everything to eliminate issues.

So it is really important to move away from Transact onto a much higher quality unified solution for the very best experience and reliability overall when using Sierra Chart.

No longer will you have issues, that you face when using Sierra Chart with Transact, that go unresolved and where each side, Transact and Sierra Chart, refers the issue to the other side.

If you have an issue you bring it to us and we get the problem resolved, whatever it may be. Or we will instruct the clearing firm or broker, with what they need to do to get the problem resolved.

We are going to list here, links to different brokers supporting Teton.

As a former Infinity Broker I fully understand the trials and tribulations of changing brokerage firms and no longer being able to use the Transact AT. With that being said, Stage 5 takes great pride in helping Transact/Infinity traders transition as seamlessly as possible. Personally, I believe the best solution would be to switch to Sierra Teton Order Routing with Denali for real time and historical data. This is all maintained by Sierra directly, which I feel provides great benefits to traders as Sierra can focus on enhancements instead of maintenance of other third party order routing feeds. In addition, I feel it is the best overall quality and value for traders.

You can open an account for as little as $100 and you will receive $0.20 per side commissions on the micros and $0.45 commissions on non micros plus exchange and regulatory fees.

Please feel free to contact us and we will gladly assist you with any questions you may have and/or the process of transitioning your account and hopefully helping you improve your current trading solution. We would be able to provide some DOM chartbook layouts that will hopefully be more in line with what you are accustomed to. In addition, we would be more than happy to have a remote session to help get you setup with the new layouts.

If you have questions or would like to speak to an assigned personal broker for details, please call us at 1-312-896-9897 or 1-800-258-6675. You can email us at sierrachart@s5trading.com and can also contact us here: https://stage5trading.com/contact/

If you are ready to move to the Teton Order Routing solution right away, we invite you to complete an application by clicking the blue button at the top of the https://stage5trading.com/ page that says Introducing Sierra Chart Teton Order Routing - Click Here to Open an account

It depends upon the clearing firm. This would be a feature provided by the clearing firm who actually holds the customer funds. In the case of Stage 5 the clearing firm could be Advantage, Dorman or Ironbeam.

We would like to share some testimonials of the Teton order routing service:

Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Testimonials (Stage 5)

We have also heard from one Transact user that they are still having trouble connecting in the evening after 6 PM. This is not a Sierra Chart issue. This is a transact server issue. And it is unbelievable that they have this problem still. Transact does not care about you.

And this is why we want you to move to the Teton order routing service that we control end to end. We control the whole process, and will deliver you superb trouble-free service. Any questions or issues come to us directly and we resolve them. There is no one else involved. There is not a situation where there are two different parties pointing the "finger" to each other. This is eliminated.

Being stuck with delayed data while the switchover, then also being stuck with delayed data until remaining time I previously paid for charting package to run out waiting for the renewal that I already paid for is extremely frustrating. Not sure how anyone operates this way!!!!

You have a complete misunderstanding.

For real-time data you just now need to activate the exchange or exchanges you require here:

https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed

Just please get this done now. Fully within your control. And that you will start getting real-time data within minutes.

And furthermore it is the exchanges who make real-time market data access, very very very very very complex to put it lightly. Not us. Not us at all.

do I just hit the activate buttons on all of them, I paid $221 for 6 months does that mean I hit all of the buttons or are some extra, it's very confusing. after hitting one button it says something about no cost til end of this month then extra? I don't understand what I paid for and the options here.

We activated CME Group top of book data for you just now. You should begin to receive the real-time data in a few minutes. If not restart Sierra Chart.

If you require market depth data let us know.

If you are not getting real-time data let us know as well. We will get that solved for you. Although you may just need to restart Sierra Chart. So try that first.

Your account also has an available credit of 221 USD. So you still have that credit and all is well.

We want to update this thread, with another solution for our Transact users who are using versions 2354 or higher. Original information:
Information for Transact Users for Versions 2354 and Higher | Post: 295723

If you are using version 2354 or higher and want to use Sierra Chart for charting only or simulated trading (no live trading, including chart trading) and you want to keep your account with Transact/Ninja, do the following:

Change to Service Package 10, 11 or 12 and use the Denali Exchange Data Feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed (Full information about this service is on this page as well as instructions to use it)

And then follow this easy solution to authorize the CME Group data at the nonprofessional exchange fees:

No you will need to move your trading account to a different broker in this case. For the list of brokers supporting the Teton order routing service which replaces Transact, refer to step 2 here:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions

Charting only means just charting and not trading.

Update: if your account is with Cannon Trading just have them move you to our Teton order routing service. They do support Teton.

There are some questions from Transact users that have moved to the Teton order routing service and/or the Denali Exchange Data Feed regarding not being able to access real-time data on 2 or more different computer systems at the same time.

Understand, that each computer system is considered a device. In order to receive real time CME Group data on 2 or more device at the same time, requires that you pay an exchange fee for each and every device. And as a nonprofessional you can only receive real-time data on a maximum of two devices at the same time.

So that means if you want to receive real-time data on 2devices at the same time, you pay two exchange fees each month.

If Transact was allowing you to receive real time CME Group data, on two or more devices at the same time, they were not following exchange fee policy. They were not following the policy. Once again we want to make this clear they are not following the policy. Whether they follow the policy or not, we do not care.

We do follow the CME market data policy and we do have to charge you two exchange fees if you want to receive CME Group real-time data on 2 devices at the same time.

Understand this is CME policy. It has nothing to do with Sierra Chart. So do not fault us in any way for this at all. And do not complain to us about issues related to this. These are not our problems. We waste far too much time related to damn CME market data policy.

One thing you can do is receive real-time data on one device and delayed data on another device.

If you want to receive real time CME Group data, on 2 devices at the same time, just simply activate a second system here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges

Simply set the Number of Systems to 2 Systems. And then press the "Set" button beside that list box. This is all. Very easy.

If you want us to do this for you, just simply ask. We will do this for you. Although it is incredibly easy for you to do.

Hi
I have decided to continue working with Sierra Chart.
I chose the Stage5 broker.
I am due until May 11, 2022.
Should I start working with Stage5 directly with them /
Is it because of you?
Until the end of April I would like to leave everything as it is so that I can play without any problems.
From May 1, I would like to switch to a new method and I would like to have no problems with shifting money, even if small, with Transact.
Sincerely
Bogdan Nominaniuk (52575)

Hi Bogdan,

That sounds fantastic! The easiest way to transfer the funds into your Stage 5 account would be to request a direct wire transfer from Transact to your account with Stage 5 at Advantage Futures. You should be able to request this directly with transact by sending them the wire instructions. If you have any questions or would like any assistance please let us know. We are here to help.

Once you transfer the funds, we will activate your account and then you will be able to trade through Sierra Chart Teton Order Routing and hopefully save money with the lower commissions!
