Ok we understand. No need to be concerned with any changes at this time. We will keep this in consideration when review the data feeds around June of next year.

We are going to maintain the ICE Europe and ICE USA exchange and the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed indefinitely.

But the number of users on that old data feed which is done in cooperation with Barchart will gradually be reduced as we add new exchanges to the Denali Exchange Data Feed.

The symbol changes described in this post are now completed:
Important Update: "SC Data-All Services" Symbol Cleanup | Post: 218017

When the Service in Sierra Chart is set to SC Data-All Services and some other services like LMAX and FXCM, the categories in File >> Find Symbol that end with (Old), are going to be removed December 27, 2020.

The categories of symbols listed in File >> Find Symbol which end with (Old) are the old symbols and should no longer be used. Instructions to update them are explained below.

The old symbol formats will not be able to be used after the above mentioned date. Previously we thought they could be, but we realize technically they will not work properly after some additional testing.

To update the symbols to the new format, it is important you are running the current version of Sierra Chart. Follow the instructions here to update:
Software Download: Fast Update

After updating Sierra Chart, open your Chartbooks and use the Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service command to update the symbols to the new format. Detailed information:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

Symbol format examples:
ESZ20 (Old format)
ESZ20-CME (New format)

We also realize, that the new format should have been styled like this:
ESZ20_CME

While we could change it, we think it is too much of a disruption to be changing the symbol format again.

Dear Support,
Can you please add/check the old IIZ20 (EUREX Long Term Euro-BTP futures)?
The old IIZ20 symbol provides streaming data/depth, but the new FBTPZ20-EUREX provides historical close prices only.
Thank you.

The symbol settings are correct. We think the problem could be that you are using both the old and new symbols at the same time. Please check. And check any sub instances you are running.

You can use this command to do the translation to the new symbol format:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

I have already tried to use the Translate Symbols feature, but somehow it does not apply to this symbol (IIZ20). All other symbols (including EUREX) changed to the new format without any problem, but this symbol somehow stuck in.
The same happens when I have a single/empty chartbook with the old IIZ20 symbol only and apply the Translate Symbol function.
I do not use sub-instances.

There was a mistake in the Symbol Settings for FBTP and FBTM. We have corrected this. Select Global Settings >> Global Symbol Settings and then select the button in the upper right to Update Symbol Settings. This will correct this issue.

You also need to re-download all the data in the chart for the FBTP?##-EUREX symbols for both historical Daily and Intraday charts:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

And we are glad this nightmare of Barchart symbols is over. We cannot stress enough, how *horrible* those symbols were. This was long overdue.

Same thing about CQG symbols, but CQG is secondary to us. CQG symbols are horrible as well.

Still at a loss
1) updated to 2197
2) Edit=>translate symbols...
3) closed all chartbooks and waited for messages to stop..
Results
1) received error messages not enough disc space ..Process was started with 14GB of space.
2) chartbooks were correctly backedup and new ones created
3) no chart in any instance has new symbols in the headers.
What's next
if I'm to go chart by chart and manual change the symbols than please provide the new file formats including those for continuation charts so I can delete the non applicable files
I tried the delete and down load command but that just returned the old symbol and Data??

I believe my mistake was using the Edit=>Translate...command while chartbooks were closed. It seems to be functioning properly with the new symbols now.

Delete the Intraday data files using the old symbol format following the instructions here:

Yes this is correct:

Apparently exiting all instances and restarting some how did the trick as I'm receiving real time quotes for all symbols

However it max out my hard drive and upon exiting and restart I regained 38GB.But upon restart I received a message about configuration file. And SC started as a completely new instance.

How do I regain mo old setup. It could be I used the wrong password as I used the my Logins from the support board.
Is it possible to restart and get my previous setup back?? I really dont wish to start completely over as all my files config files are still present

Just make sure that you have translated the symbols in all instances and you only need to reconnect the data feed (No need to restart):
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

No. You need to restore a backup configuration file:

It would be appreciated if you could restore the delayed data for the 90-day interest rate futures for yen and kiwi (not visible at all in the smybol list):

https://www.barchart.com/futures/quotes/BFZ20

https://www.barchart.com/futures/quotes/ITZ20

Also the new AUD 90 interest rate future symbols are available from the symbol list but the charts won't load

https://www.barchart.com/futures/quotes/IRZ20

I am getting this as an error:
https://prnt.sc/vly3ye

Cheers

Barchart has started to charge for ASX/SFE data.

At a minimum the cost will be 25 USD per month (cost of Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed). Or 45 USD per month if you want these symbols in real-time, and that will also include historical data.

ASX/SFE Exchange fees:

Pro: $85
Non Pro: $20

We still need to confirm all costs with our data provider Barchart though.

Thanks that seems to be the case on the Barchart Trader platform as well, the 90 Day AUD interest rate futures and 10 Yr Bonds contracts have no data

I have gone through the support documentation managed to figure out how to enter the data manually into Sierra for the AUD stir contracts grabbing the data from Barchart and ASX website as I do not need a live feed. It would be stupid for Barchart not to provide at least End Of Day data to Sierra when this information is freely available from the ASX website and Barchat.

The old symbols for The Kiwi and Yen 90 Day interest rate futures are still working on Sierra and Barchart Trader. Can you please maintain support for these symbols and when possible add these to the new symbol list format?

Regarding post #27 we said the old symbols will be removed December 1. This was not correct. We have maintained the symbols until now.

At this time the old futures symbol formats have been removed since we do not want them cluttering the list of symbols in File >> Find Symbol.

Follow the instructions in post #27 to translate the symbols to the new format if you have not already done so:

The removal of the "(Old)" symbols will prevent real-time data from being received and other issues when using the SC Data-All Services service in Sierra Chart.

So we have added them back for the CME Group, EUREX and Hong Kong futures because we do not want to cause any disruptions because inevitably not everyone has given attention to these notices even though they have been given on startup and plenty of time to make the change.

We have now removed the old symbols for the EUREX symbols for the SC Exchange Data Feed.

If you have not already translated the symbols in your charts, you need to do that now because you are not going to receive data any longer using the old symbol format. You need to use Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service. Refer to:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

Every time we look at the Barchart symbols, and in particular EUREX symbols, they are just absolutely horrible and unrepresentative of what they actually are for. We apologize we took so long to get this cleaned up. Glad this nightmare is behind us.

If you need further help receiving real-time EUREX data start a new support request on this Support Board.
