I am experiencing persistent login issues with Sierra Chart and would appreciate your assistance. Initially, when I tried to log in, I repeatedly encountered the following error message: “Login Error: Timeout error. There was no response.” I attempted to resolve this by updating the software, but the update was unsuccessful. After that, I completely uninstalled Sierra Chart and performed a fresh installation. However, after reinstalling, I now receive a different error message: “Maximum number of retries encountered.” At this point, I am unable to log in at all. These issues occurred before I had the chance to properly learn or use the platform, and I believe they may be related to connectivity or authorization rather than intentional misuse. Please let me know if there are any steps I can take to resolve this issue, or if you need any additional information from my side. Thank you very much for your time and support. |

Additional information: The error "MD5 for file does not match. File: sierraChart_64.exe. Received file size: 4986784" still occurs upon reinstallation.

Are you installing into an emulator of some kind? I.e. is your core system a MAC or using Linux? Please use the "Zip Installer" to install the software. Refer to the following: Software Download: Sierra Chart Zip Installer Let us know if you have an issue logging in after that. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, Thank you for your reply. To clarify a few points: I am not using an emulator. Sierra Chart is running on a Windows (Microsoft) PC. I have just successfully installed Sierra Chart using the ZIP installation method, but the issue still persists. After installation, I am still encountering the same error as before: “Timeout error – there was no response.” I have tried disabling the firewall completely. I also attempted to start Windows in Safe Mode, but the login still failed. Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue, and I am still unable to log in. |

The IP Address that shows up for the posting you made is from Hong Kong. We wonder if you are blocked due to China Internet regulations. Are you able to setup a Proxy service and use this? Refer to the following: HTTP Communication Errors: 3 - HTTP Proxy Server For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

It's unlikely. I'm using a VPN to connect and can access other websites blocked in China, such as Google But I just tried an HTTP proxy service, and it didn't work. Additional information: I could successfully access Sierra a few months ago, and I don't think I did anything on my computer in between. I'm also confused. |
