Help!! activating Denali feed ..

Hi.

I am currently trading Nasdaq Futures (NQ) with AMP account using CQG data feed.
Today, I changed my SC package to use Denali data feed.
I followed the instruction but I don't think my charts are using Denali data feed.
I don't know what I need to do.
Do I need to make any changes to "Dat/Trade Service Setting"? I did not make any change there. Yes, "Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds" was/is still set to "YES."
I followed the instruction about downloading "Symbol Setting" download and "Delete All Data and Download."

I'd appreciate your prompt help. I want this data feed to work properly before the market open. FYI, this is my first experience of changing data feed.

I just changed "Current Selected Service" in "Data/Trade Service Settings" to "SC Data - All Services [data]" and this seem to have fixed my problem. it is connecting to Denali data feed now.

I have not notified AMP (broker) about this data feed switch yet. What do I need to tell AMP? At this point, would I be still using CQG order routing?

FYI, I am in a process of setting up accounts with Edge Clear for eventual migration from AMP to them so I can ultimate use Teton order routing.

You did do everything correctly in post #1. For now you do have to have Sierra Chart set to connect to CQG. If there still is a problem:


Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

We will then determine what the problem is.

What do I need to tell AMP?
Tell them to cancel market data exchange fees for your account.

At this point, would I be still using CQG order routing?
Yes until you begin to use Teton through Edge Clear.

after i switched to Denali data feed, looks like only 7 days worth of data are downloaded. all my (intraday) charts only load 7 days worth of data. what setting do i need to change to download more data? (I trade NQ)

You should be getting delayed data so you should at this moment start to see updating.

never mind.
just activated....
"The 'Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for nonprofessional Trading accounts' exchange has been internally activated, and will be renewed."
but the dom is not showing full bid and ask quantities. only showing top 10 of each side even though i activated for the full deck.

You should only be seeing one level of depth on each side since you activated the top of book exchange fee.

For the full market depth data, you need to activate the exchange fees that support Market Depth. Refer to:

Instead you would want something like:
CME with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts

It depends upon what symbols you need Market Depth data for.

i love Sierra Chart.
however, i don't like that you made changes to your program to make it difficult to use CQG data feed so you can have recurring revenue stream by directing your customers to use your data feed. I don't mind supporting SC by using your products (data feed and order routing) so I can continue to use your amazing platform. However, you should at least match CQG's prices. For $3.50/month, I was getting 10 levels but I only get 1 level with your data feed. This is absolutely false! You cannot get 10 levels of market depth data for this price. These are exchange fees billed by the CME. That price, is for the entire CME Group, type of book/Level 1 data.

If this is true, we are going to report CQG to the CME for violating CME rules but we know they are not doing that. It makes no sense. They would not do that.

Being that Sierra Chart provides CME Group data directly from the exchange and delivers this data reliably, and comprehensively, it only makes sense that we do not support CME market data from any other source and only our own.

This will provide our users the most reliable data, the most complete data (historical, Real-time, market depth, and market by order data), and consistent data.

Our data feeds provide all of the data that Sierra Chart users require. Sierra Chart has extensive market data needs which cannot be met by CQG . Users will have less or no issues, and all users receive the same data. This is on a highly reliable and redundant network with multiple ISPs. It reduces our support load, gives users the best impression of Sierra Chart. It is foolish for us to be supporting CQG CME and EUREX data at all. And we will not do that and our position on this is very clear and firm.

So we cannot accept the claims that you are making and if CQG is actually providing you market depth data with the fee that you are paying of about 3.50 USD per month, we are going to report them to the CME because they are violating their market data policies. Although we really do not think they are doing that and there is some other explanation here.
