This message board posting is being linked to in the System Notification window for users of the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

This message does not refer to or is not meant for users of the newer Teton Order Routing Service:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

The Sierra Chart Order Routing Service based upon Trading Technologies (TT) order routing, is being phased out by us and is not being made available to new users.

We have developed a new order routing service with direct connectivity to the CME Group of exchanges and also the FairX exchange, and EUREX connectivity is in progress.

There is no intermediary provider for this service.

Full set up instructions are here for this service:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions

Please ask your broker clearing from to move you to this service. You just need to tell them that you want to move to Sierra direct or Teton. If they do not understand, let us know who your broker or clearing firm is and we will help them.

If you are trading EUREX, which is very few users on the service, then we do not yet have connectivity to EUREX available. However, this is being developed.

If you have some important need to stay on the existing Sierra Chart Order Routing service utilizing Trading Technologies, then you can stay there if you want. We are not going to force anyone off the service. And the service will be maintained.

However, there are major advantage using our newer Teton Order Routing Service:

-No transaction fees. The .10USD per fill per contract, fee is eliminated.

-All account balance fields provide data and update in real time and are 100% accurate. The cash balance field of course is going to be dependent upon the data from your clearing firm. If they do not provide a correct value at the start of the day, there can be a problem with that but that is outside of our control.

-Lower latency, direct and redundant connectivity. All of the complexity of TT is completely removed and eliminated. And for your information we no longer maintain the cross connect, that we previously did to TT. We use an Internet connection for order routing for the older TT based order routing service. Although the connectivity is within the data center and this still is very reliable.

For the Teton order routing service, we do use a cross connect to the CME directly in the Aurora DC.

-Advanced Risk management. Documentation is here although really only applicable to brokers and firms:
Trade Account and Risk Management

-Automatic liquidation functionality when the daily loss limit has been met. This is being gradually offered to the different firms over the next few weeks.

Please, let us get this transition done for those users who have no essential need to remain on the TT based order routing service, by the middle to end of March 2022. If you need any help or have questions, just simply post your questions here or start a ticket:

Thank you, I will initiate the change with my broker.

Question: I use a sub-instance for managing a client's account. It runs on the same machine as the primary data feed. As such, I just want to confirm I will still be able to use DTC Sub-Instance to run the second instance of Sierra Chart--is that correct? And since both instances are running on the same machine I should have the "Use Sierra Chart Username & Password" field set to "No" on the sub-instance? Just want to ensure when I transition to the new routing service that everything goes smoothly, as I manage two very large accounts that are running 100% automated trading, so performance is crucial.

Thanks in advance for your time and input.

Yes.

This should be yes as long as you are connecting to another instance of Sierra Chart that uses the same username.

The transition should be just fine. But you do need to translate the symbols after changing to Teton. This is done with this Edit menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

However, the clearing firm will not do any transfer, if you have any positions.

My introducing broker stated that I will need to get a new Sierra user ID in order to initiate the transition to Teton--is that correct?

Our plan is to get flat on TT just after close (likely next Thursday 3/10 or the following Monday 3/14) then transition to Teton prior to the market reopening at 6p EST and re-enter all of the active positions under the new symbols and service. Please let me know if that sounds like a good approach given that I will have to contend with many active positions whenever I decide to do the migration.

No that is not correct. You definitely do not need a new username.

Who is your introducing broker?

From our side, none of this is an issue. This is something more you have to discuss with your broker with how quickly they can handle the transition from their side.

FuturePath Trading LLC--if someone could contact Jerry Winter (312) 987-2078 from FP that would be very helpful. He said he already tried to reach out to a contact at Sierra but hadn't received a call back. He hasn't done a migration to Teton before, so I'm sure he would appreciate any guidance.
