Cannot load historical data

Hi - I have been using SC with Rithmic for over a year, and haven't changed any settings in months. Today when I logged in I could not load historical data. Current data is coming through, but my intraday and profile charts are blank. I tried all of the steps in the documentation and they did not work.

When looking at chart settings, when I try to load 50 days of data, it will not allow the "From" field to go earlier then 1/30/22 (see attatchement)

How do I resolve this?

I looked into this further - data is not showing up for the time period between Sunday (1/31) and whenever I last saved my chartbook last, even though I've beenn using these chartbooks everyday with no problems. I have several chartbooks for different instruments (NQ, RTY, & ES) and each has a gap in data between now and when I last saved the chartbook. Obviously no changes have been made since I last saved the chartbook, so I cannot figure out why that data is now missing. Didn't know if this additional information would help troubleshoot. This is a huge issue for me right now.

I checked the charts on my underlying platform and the data is there, so I'm pretty confident this is an issue on the SC side

To solve this you need to activate the exchanges that you require here:

When that is done re-download the data:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

You are also using the old Rithmic bridge program which is unsupported. You really need to update to the current version:

I have done all the above and I am having the same problem. It shows denali data feed is active...

You do not have any exchange activated for the Denali Exchange Data Feed, therefore you are not setup to get any real-time data from the Denali feed.

Additionally, your account does not show a connection to a live, funded, futures trading account at any time, therefore you would not be able to get the CME Group data at the non-professional rate. Refer to the following:

Our servers show that you are connecting to Rithmic. If this is correct, then you would need to connect to a live Rithmic server (not a paper option) in order to verify your account.

I have not done anything different and have been trading a funded account with Apex via rithmic of a long time. Sierra took a renew payment over the weekend and now all the charting data is messed up. Im not sure what I will have to do now as It was all working fine on Friday morning.

Can you confirm if I need to purchase a different package for this to work? If so what is the package as its not clear as I haven't done anything different and its stopped working

I will add I can see historical data on my daily chart as shown in picture but not on any of my other cahrts which doesn't make sense right??

I have actually upgraded my package to package 11 advanced to see if renewed to a different package. Still the same error. I would like this sorted out please asap and refunded.

Just loaded up my Sierra chart like I always do and none of the data has loaded up since I logged out from that spot Friday morning, and then gapped to today's new prices.

I have refreshed the charts and when I did that it actually took away another 2 days so now missing the last 2 days data!


I have noticed sierra did take a payment off me last 24 hours. So I am wondering if the package I have has changed and I need a different one? for the record, I trade ES on CME via apex trader (rithmic)


I am missing a huge gap for the last few months of data but on my TPO charts. And cant see any historical data on my 5min ES candle chart and it just started at the point where I log in each time... and some of my charts just has 3 previous days missing and can go way back on them. This is clearly a Sierra chart issue that needs sorting ASAP - I need someone to sieraa to call me and do a remote access so I can show what I mean as it was working but your last message says it would be impossible

I have attached my TPO where I have historic data form 2 years ago until september 2021 then it stops and jump to today's TPO and misses everything. Why?

Also attached the chart settings where loads have all been greyed out and cant change. I must note if I move back to SC all data delayed everyone works fine.

We can not say why things were working previously. But from what we see of your account, you would have been getting the Rithmic data previously and you are still doing so. Therefore, the issue you are having is related to the Rithmic data. Refer to the following:

We do see that you had setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed for CME data, but the problem is that the CME Group has a requirement that you have a live, funded, futures trading account to which you can connect Sierra Chart in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. A prop firm account (such as Apex) does not count towards this requirement. Refer to the following for more information on this:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

If you do not have another account that will qualify for this purpose, then we recommend the solution outlined at the following link:

Once you start getting the Denali data, then you can "Delete All Data and Download" and everything will fill in with our historical data.

HI John,

Another question relating to sierra.

Can you confirm what sierra package I had prior to Thursday 13th October and what package it got changed to over the weekend when sierra took payment as if this is changed the answer could lay here?

To confirm , I am currently getting live market data via rithmic to sierra charts, im just getting happy historic data, even though you say that's not possible as its via apex. Also I am also getting historic charts on some of my charts but with gaps (looks like its just ESU22 & ESM22 that are missing) and nothing on some other charts. The answers I am getting just do not make any sense because it was all working fine for about 8 months until yesterday and nothing had been changed except sierra charts renewing my package over the weekend. Do you see where I am coming from?


IF the above can still not get an answer I need to use the software. If I open a funded account and fund it to abide by the CME rules to have live data via denali, Cna I not use my new funded account linked to sierra but to use my other Rithmic account on sierra so I can open and close trades via sierra onto rithmic? IS this possible or am I right thinking I can only have data acees if went down the other broker way and will have to open and close trades with rimthic on their software?

We understand how it can feel like the renewal must have been involved in this somehow, but it was definitely not related to this.

Just for your information, your account did the following:
- Prior to October 10, you were on Package 5
- October 10 - changed to Package 11
- October 11 - Changed to Package 5
- October 17 - Changed to Package 11
- October 17 - Changed to Package 10
- October 17 - Changed to Package 11
- October 17 - Changed to Package 10
- October 18 - Changed to Package 11

In order to connect to Rithmic, you need to be on one of the Integrated Packages (10, 11 and 12), so being on 10 or 11 does not matter for this purpose.

Note that you are also using an Evaluation of Package 12 that started on October 10, 2022 and will continue to be available through December 10, 2022.

In terms of the data, you are definitely getting the Rithmic data and we do not know why you are having the gaps with their data when you were not previously.

But, in terms of setting up another account in order to qualify for the CME Group requirement for the non-professional exchange fees - you would only need to connect to that account about once a month in order to verify the account. Otherwise, you would stay connected to your Apex account. Refer to the following for more information:

I note you mentioned I was on package 5 before October 10th 2022. Thats odd because I was using live market data plugged into rithmic syncing up with my APEX account for the last 8 months but you mentioned in that last message In order to connect to Rithmic, you need to be on one of the Integrated Packages (10, 11 and 12). How was I able to connect previously for the last 8 months when I was only on package 5, that's why I'm scratching my head on this issue...

Honestly, I can not say why things were working for you. According to the information in our logs, you should not have been able to connect to Rithmic for at least the past month. At this point, that is in the past, and we can only move forward from where we are.
