Hello,

I want to use the Advance package with Rithmic. I found some documentation that says I need package 10+, which does not make sense - why would I need Denali if I am using Rithmic? Will Package 5 not be sufficient?

It is not that you specifically need the Denali Exchange Data Feed. We just put the need for Package 10+ with the use of Rithmic rather than having a separate package for this purpose.

I'm not sure what that means - will Package 5 work or not? I'm able to connect and pull up charts with it, but am not sure if there is functionality that will not work

Package 5 will not work with Rithmic. You would need to have Package 11 in order to have the Advanced Features and be able to use Rithmic with Sierra Chart.

I have my Intraday chart set to download 30 days of 1 minute data, but I am only getting data up to ~11a today. When I switch to a 30 minute chart, I get more days of data, but still not all that I am supposed to get. I get even more days when I switch to a 240 minute chart, but still not all 180 that are in the Chart Settings. I have been troubleshooting this by searching through Help, but nothing I've tried is changing anything (delete + reloading data), checking all of the settings, making sure the connection setting are requesting enough days of tick data, etc. I do not see any error messages when loading data. What's my next step?

We cannot help with Rithmic historical data and that is why we strongly recommend that you use the Denali Exchange Data Feed, for market data for Sierra Chart:

That will immediately solve the problem. You just need to activate the appropriate exchanges from here:

Once you activate the appropriate exchanges, then re-download the data following these instructions:

Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds" to Yes.


Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

I have followed all of the instructions from the prior messages (enabled Denali, signed agreement, enabled CME data, Delete and Download data) above and still have the data issue. I have some data from today, then it skips back to June 9?

Note, I tried shutting my PC all the way down and restarting to see if anything changed. Now, instead of having a gap from today's data to 6/9 data, I am now only getting some of today's data.

Go to File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings and ensure that the option for Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to Yes. It does not appear that this is the case from what you showed us.

If you have to change this from No to Yes, then be sure you then selected File >> Disconnect, followed by file >> Connect to Data Feed, then select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

You need to connect to the LIVE Rithmic server for a few seconds in order to validate your account for the CME Group requirements.

I thought I was connected to Live? Rithmic does not offer a sim account. How do I connect to live Rithmic server?

ETA: I verified I am connected to the live server (Rithmic 01-Chicago Area-Non-Aggregated)

That server should work. We need to check on why your account is not updating.

We have manually verified your account through July 31. So you should be getting the Denali data now. You will want to go to Edit >> Delete and Download Data in order to ensure that all the data is from the same source (the Denali Exchange Data Feed). You will only need to do this once per symbol.

Success! Sounds like I wasn't verified to get the Denali data so that was the issue. I've tried a few symbols and everything works ok once I delete and download. Thanks!

We still need to figure out why you are having a problem getting verified. As we stated, we took care of this through July 31. If we do not have it worked out, we will extend again, but hopefully we will have it figured out before then.

Hello,

Does the version 2291 address the verification issue?

I have another question. I have installed Sierra (version 2292) on another computer using the same account. Without connecting to Rithmic, it opens a new chart fine (I'm assuming using the Denali feed). But when I open up a chartbook that I copied over from the original computer, all the charts are blank. Why?

Perhaps related, when I try to setup the Rithmic connection on the new laptop and choose the Rithmic Direct - DTV service, the Server list is blank?

As stated above, version 2291 does address the verification issue. And we see that your account is now showing an updated date, so this is working for you now.

Most likely that other computer has the Current Selected Service set to SC Data - All Services. As such, it uses a different set of symbols. When you open a Chartbook from the other computer, you would need to select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service in order to update the symbols within that chartbook to your current service selection.

Another option would be to set the Current Selected Service to the same as the other computer, then the symbols will be the same.

You have to set the Current Selected Service and then close that window and then open it again. We do a request from Rithmic for the Servers that are available, so it takes a few seconds and requires that the window be reopened to fill in the list. This is covered in Step #7 of the Setup Instructions for Rithmic here:
