I think there is miscommunication that is happening here.

May be easier & quicker to speak over the phone. I looked through the reading guide and it doesn't answer the question.

The link gives me error message attached is screen shot

You definitely should not be getting that error. Worst case, you should be asked to login to the Sierra Chart website.

To get to the exchanges, do the following:
- Go to https://www.sierrachart.com
- Login to the website if you need to
- Select Account Management >> Activate Services in the menu at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to the section with the title: Denali Exchange Data Feed CME / CBOT / NYMEX / COMEX Exchanges (Optional):
- Select the link in that section that states Activate / Deactivate Denali Exchange Data Feed Exchanges [CME / CBOT / NYMEX / COMEX]
- Scroll down on that page to see the list of exchanges.

If you are wanting to do something different, let us know what exactly you want to accomplish and we will point you in the right direction.

Ok, let me try.

For the below how can i activate Sierra chart for Denali feed for Top of the Book order to for charting purpose as i dont use market depth. I think the situation is becoming clear.

Please correct me. I can select from the selection https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges

Capture 1.3 shows the data choices i can select from. CME Top of Book is sufficient to chart.

Please advise if this is correct.

Thanks

You have it correct. You would want to activate the CME Non-Professional Top-of-Book and deactivate the CME with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading Accounts.

We know it is only $1.25, but we just want you to understand that if you make this change today, you will not get any refund of the $10.40 you already paid for the CME with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading Accounts exchange. You will also need to pay the additional $1.25 when you activate the CME Non-Professional Top-of-Book.

If you do not want to pay the extra fees right now, then you would want to do the following:
- Select the "Deactivate" button for the CME with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading Accounts today. This just sets that exchange to not renew next month, but you will continue to get the data through the remainder of the month.
- On October 1, 2021 when you first get on to start trading, you would want to then activate the CME Non-Professional Top-of-Book.

Hi John, to follow up for the attached can you tell me difference between 2 compared with 3/4. I am interested to top of the book for charting.

As i am reading the chart does it mean that I can get #2 selection top of the book instead of 3 & 4 inidividually? Is my thinking correct.

Thanks,

#2 in the list of exchanges includes all 4 of the CME Group exchanges (CME, CBOT, COMEX, and NYMEX) for $3.25 per month. This includes just the Top-of-Book market depth data (i.e. Level 1 data, or best Bid/Ask)

#s 3 and 8 are individual exchanges (CME (3) and CBOT(8)) for $1.25 each and includes the Top-of-Book only (same as #2 for Market Depth).

It just depends on what you need for your data. Once you get to 3 of the individual exchange options, then you are better off just getting the entire group.

1. There are a few options for this.

The easiest is to set your Sierra Chart to automatically open the Chartbooks you want when you start the software. Refer to the information at the following link:
General Settings Window: Select Files to Open On Startup (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> Startup)

The next option is to just select File >> Open Chartbook and then use the option for Multiple Selections and select the chartbooks you want to open at one time and then select Open.

And finally, there is an option called Chartbook Groups which allows you to create a collection of Chartbooks that you will work with as a group. The downside on this is that you have to continue to work with the chartbooks as a group, as they are stored separately. The individual chartbooks are not directly accessible. Refer to the following:
Chartbooks (Workspaces): To Open a Chartbook Group

2. Refer to the following:
Chart Menu: Duplicate Chart To Chartbook (Chart menu)

Thanks John, perhaps not clear of what i was asking, when the multiple chartbooks are open how can multiple chartbook can be open together. Currently when i click on the different chartbook "non clicked" chartbook- charts/windows will be hidden until I click on it... and so on.

And what's the best practice to copy the entire chart settings to another chartbook. Is there a way

What you are seeing is the normal behavior of the system. There are a couple of options.

The first one is meant for if you just need a window or two available when viewing a different Chartbook, then you can use the option Window >> Window Always Visible. This makes that window (chart or spreadsheet) available when you are looking at a different chartbook. If the window is not detached, then you can access it through the CW menu. Refer to the following:
Window and CW Menus: Window Always Visible (Window)

If you are wanting to have access to the full chartbook windows when you are looking at a different chartbook, then the recommendation is to use Sub-Instances and have your chartbooks in each sub-instance. Refer to the information here:
File Menu: New Instance (File)

--

The best way to copy the Chart settings to a new Chartbook is to duplicate the chart to the new chartbook. Then use that chart as your template for other charts in that chartbook. Refer to the following:
Chart Menu: Duplicate Chart To Chartbook (Chart menu)

and also refer to the following:
Using Chart Templates: Duplicating Charts / Template Charts

Hi John, on Trading DOM how can i update the frequency time for Recent Trades?

Thanks,

It sounds like you are wanting to decrease the Chart Update Interval on the Trading DOM in order to get the Trading DOM to update more often.

To do this, on the Trading DOM, select Chart >> Chart Settings and then select the Advanced Settings tab. There is an entry in the bottom right corner of this window for Chart Update Interval which is set to 0 by default, which means that this chart (this Trading DOM, in particular) is using the default set in Global Settings >> General Settings >> Chart Update Interval, which, by default, is 500 milliseconds.

Change the value in the Chart Settings for the Chart Update Interval to something less than 500 - we recommend trying 200 first and then go lower if you want more updates.

Refer to the following for more information on the Chart Update Interval:
Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu)

I see thanks again, And what is the cost for 2nd connection Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for nonprofessional Trading accounts.

Thanks

It is the exchange fee. So you end up paying the exchange fees twice. So for the Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for nonprofessional Trading accounts which is normally $3.50, you would pay $7.00 to have access to both computers at the same time.
