Effective no later than June 1, 2021, Sierra Chart will be discontinuing all support for the Transact trading service in newer and existing versions.

All market data feeds that Sierra Chart provides for Transact users will be shut down at that time.

All Sierra Chart users using Transact with a Sierra Chart account through Transact, can continue to use that very same account with any of our other supported Data and Trading services. You are able to pay directly for Sierra Chart with that account and login independently. If you require your password, just contact us here on this Support Board and we will send you a password reset message.

You can run Sierra Chart using the Sierra Chart shortcut on your desktop. Or run Sierra Chart from this location:
C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransactMA\SierraChart_64.exe

You will need to migrate to one of our other supported services:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SupportedDataAndTradingServices.php

We are also working on new Service Packages for Sierra Chart which will include the high-performance, and very advanced, Denali exchange data feed. This data feed goes well beyond anything that Transact offers. These new service packages will overall provide a better value for the Denali data. These we expect will be out, next week along with further details about them.

We highly recommend using the Sierra Chart order routing service:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartOrderRoutingServiceWithData.php

Sierra Chart may, at an earlier date discontinue support in newer versions for Transact.

The basis of our decision is the information in this article:
https://johnlothiannews.com/transact-futures-bought-by-owner-of-ninjatrader-brokerage-an-introducing-broker/

We were never told of this information by Transact until we heard about this article.

We need to update this thread.

The background arrangement for providing Sierra Chart to Transact, is not transferable to a new owner. Which is now Ninjatrader.

Users of Sierra Chart who have a Sierra Chart account provided through Transact, will need to pay for Sierra Chart directly. Refer to this post for details:
https://www.sierrachart.com/SupportBoard.php?PostID=249685#P249685

You can continue to run Sierra Chart as you normally do but it is important that you update Sierra Chart to the current version following the instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SoftwareDownload.php#FastUpdate

Transact will continue to be supported by Sierra Chart no later than June 1, 2021.

Direct billing, is a much safer method of payment for users because you are now fully in control rather than leaving it to your broker. We know for a fact, that Transact would bill customers for Sierra Chart when the customer did not actively use Sierra Chart in a month, and that would go to Transact and we, Sierra Chart, would not receive that payment. Since we do not bill Transact, for when a user does not use Sierra Chart in a month.

Furthermore, Transact also receives a substantial discount for Sierra Chart. What you pay Transact in the past, did not come to Sierra Chart.

It is very important that users are fully in control of the billing related to Sierra Chart. These days more than ever (referring to current world events), being in control is very important rather than surrendering control to someone else.

At any time you can deactivate a service package in Sierra Chart so it does not renew. You can activate and deactivate at will.

Updated information regarding Transact:
We intend a 3 month transition plan, ending April 30, 2021 (we can be somewhat flexible with this date) for Transact customers under the old billing arrangement with Transact to begin to pay for Sierra Chart directly to Sierra Chart. They will have available to them our new packages which include our "Denali Exchange Data Feed".

We will support automatic credit card billing and they will have access to the full functionality of Sierra Chart.

In the next couple of weeks we will put together some instructions for them on how to proceed. And the customers can take their time, to take advantage of this change at their own pace.

The posts in this thread have been edited to be consistent with the quoted section just above.

Additionally, we have have implemented the capability to automatically bill a credit/debit card. So you will decide whether you want to pay for Sierra Chart in 1, 3 or 6 month increments, you get a discount when paying for multiple months, and then you can automatically have your card billed. Or you can do manual payments. Either way is fine.
