What futures trading/brokerage service do you use? For the reason why we ask this question, refer to:

I'm following up on my discussion and the link i was sent to read and advise. Gone through and have the following questions:

1) what's the minimum ac requirement to trade a single contract with Sierra (Be advised I trade with Ninja, and ac is with Dorman Trading). In essence - what's the margin minimum requirement

2) Since i have an ac with Dorman Trading which i saw is one of the firms that i can trade through Ninja platform, how fast can i get connected to live data?

1. We do not control the margin requirements. You would need to talk to your FCM (Dorman) on this topic.

2. If you are already connected using CQG, then it is just a matter of setting up Sierra Chart to use that information.

But, if you want to use Sierra Chart for your data, then it can add a few hours to the process as you need to sign new data agreements and it can sometimes take a few hours to get those processed. Refer to the information here:

Thanks for the quick feedback.

I have about $100 in my Sierra ac. I believe this is enough to pay for the monthly live data connection for CME Futures Non-Professional

1) Can I be activated just for Live Data only for CME with Market Depth for Futures Mkts? since i already have a trading ac with Dorman Capital?

2) If yes, kindly guide how i can go about?

Thanks, Samuel

First, we need to know if you are using CQG for your trading service through Dorman. We need to know this to ensure that you will be able to get the CME data at the Non-Professional rate.

Once we know this, we can guide you through the process of setting up the Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Ok. Reverting back.

In the meantime, i have activated Denali and signed all the agreements. How do i switch to Live data since im on delayed data?

Appreciate your feedback

Samuel

We still need to know if you are using CQG as your trading service with Dorman. If you are using a different trading service then you will need to pay the Professional fees, which you will not want to do.

Hello Samuel,

Your Dorman account does use CQG to connect to live data.

You have everything setup for the data feed, you just need to connect your Sierra Chart to your CQG account at least once a month in order to validate that you have a trading account and qualify for the Non-Professional exchanges. Refer to the Setup instructions here:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

And refer to the following information about connecting at least once a month:

Footprints in Sierra Chart are called Numbers Bars. Refer to the documentation here:
Numbers Bars

Note the section for Step-by-Step instructions.

There is also an example Chartbook with the Numbers Bars study setup on it here:
