[Locked] - DOM lagging

I am getting severe lag in DOM data. Is there anyway to figure out what's causing it?

- Only have DOM open
- Days to load it set to 1 day.
- Intraday storage unit time is: 1 second
- No studies on chart

I've tried topic 30 but that did not help.

System config:
Core i7-8750H
32GB Ram
Intel UHD 630
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Attachment Deleted.

Not sure what you mean by lagging in this particular case, the video is not helpful to us in this regard.

The relevant help topics will be:
Prices / Data Falling Behind

And:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often (You already said you reviewed this)

If the problem is not a performance issue where you are noticing Sierra Chart user interface being not responsive at times, then we recommend changing to this service from CQG:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

It is fully supported by AMP.

What's the difference between just CQG (what I have) vs Sierra Chart CQG? Do you offer trial for few days for this datafeed to see if it's any better? I'd rather not change it on AMP until I know for certain it solves the issue.

Yes we can set you up a trial for the Denali Exchange Data Feed to use with CQG and see if it resolves the problem. We will work on that for you. No cost for this month.

Hi User996502, please complete the Market Data Agreements for the Denali Feed below and we will set-up the rest. There would be no cost to you to test this live Data Feed in March. Thank you

The issue still persists after adding new datafeed. Any other suggestion you want me to try?

I even tried in Linux to rule out driver issue.

How much of a lag are you noticing?

And if it relates to a performance issue in Sierra Chart, then refer to these instructions:
Overview of Trading: Sierra Chart Configuration for Most Low Response Time Trading

If it relates to the amount of market data bandwidth, then refer to:
Prices / Data Falling Behind: 4.12 - Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feeds

Well it's the DOM that's lagging. I don't know how to explain it but if you want to remote in, I can show you what it looks like.

Hi Parth, we see you are on the CQG WebAPI right now, not the Denali Data Feed. Can we do Remote Assistance session to check your set-up?

I was given Denali trial access. That expired and it did not help with the issue.

Yes, let me know what I have to do for remote assistance.

We first want you to follow the instructions here:
Overview of Trading: Sierra Chart Configuration for Most Low Response Time Trading

And also reduce the Chart Update Interval:
Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu)

We do not see how we can provide more help then. How much of a lag are you noticing? If it is less than a second there is no one who will be able to help with that. You may want to try a different Internet connection.

Like I said, there is enough lag that I can't even use the DOM properly. I cannot follow any numbers on the DOM. Which defeats the purpose of the DOM.

This is strictly Sierra Chart issue because I tried my connection on Jigsaw DOM(on same computer and internet) and that does not lag at all. So I'm not sure how you can say it's my internet.

You are not answering our question. And we have given you more than enough information here. Refer to post #16. If the data is not lagging from the source or because of the Internet connection then post #16 makes reference to two items which will resolve the issue.

Check post #17, where I said I already tried both methods and it did not solve my issue.

Did you ever figure it out? I have noticed that Jigsaw's DOM is more fluid and seems to refresh more frequently than Sierra's making that laggy effect. Have not been able to fix it on my end either. Was hoping with the new update to miliseconds it would fix it.

No millisecond time stamping is irrelevant to this. This is strictly dependent upon the Chart Update Interval and the server and network connectivity. Also disable OpenGL:
Graphics Settings: Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics (Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other)

Have you also tried the Denali exchange data feed:

I did not figure it out yet and I still have support ticket open for this.

Switched to Denali Exchange Data Feed like they suggested but that is not the issue.

Yes I have tried it with different feeds to no success. Have also looked at others DOMs on Sierra same issue. Think its just the way they are built and to get the fluidity of a Jigsaw or TT DOM they would have to re-invent the wheel.
