Hi,

When selecting a GCLZ6 intra-day chart through Gain I get the error "Symbol is unknown click for symbol information" but I have this as part of my data bundle. I have tried updating symbol list from server but still have the issue.

Thanks

That is the correct symbol and there is little doubt, that your Gain Capital account is not authorized for Comex real-time data.

It is working today after I reboot Sierra. Do you sometimes see intermittent authorization issues?

cheers

Now I am seeing this on the DOM for GCLZ6. A price below the 10 levels I usually see. My EUREX feed and ES data is always perfect with Sierra but this symbol is seeing these issues.

From our perspective we have no way to verify if the authorization issue is intermittent.

If we see the Message Log we can determine what the problem is at that moment in time. Here are the instructions to provide that:

I have sent you a message log via send for analysis. I just also noticed my FDAXZ6 chat was not aligned with the DOM price and when I disconnect > connect it updated.

Do you mean that the chart bars are not updating? You may have gone over the symbol limit:

Regarding Post #4, we do not know what can be done about that market depth data issue. We recommend just reconnecting to the data feed when you see it:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

It is not something we are willing to spend time on because there is not a practical solution to it and it is data feed specific.

I checked with Gain and they added additional symbols for me. Im still seeing DOM issues though like the attached chart in this post. I hope you don't expect me to keep reconnecting the data feed when I see this kind of thing. I don't see this as a reasonable workaround.

OK we will have a look. Looks like Gain Capital changed how the data feed works.

Clearly Gain Capital has changed how the market depth data stream is implemented.

We made a small change which now resolves this problem.

Update Sierra Chart to the latest "Prerelease" following the instructions here:
