Hello, I am reaching out to request help regarding an issue with Market Depth data display in Sierra Chart. 📌 Issue Description: I am using multiple charts with the same symbol (e.g., FDAXM25-EUREX). Market Depth display is enabled in all of them. Everything worked fine until yesterday — Market Depth was loading in all charts. Today, however, some charts no longer show Market Depth. In other charts with the same symbol, Market Depth is still working correctly. ⚡ Possible Cause: Shortly before the issue occurred, there was a brief power outage (approx. one second), which caused the computer to shut down unexpectedly, without properly closing Sierra Chart. The problem appeared after restarting the system — this may or may not be related to the power outage. 🔧 What I Have Tried So Far: • Restarted the computer and internet connection • Reduced the number of Market Depth days loaded to 3 • Deleted the file FDAXM25-EUREX.scid in the \SierraChart\Data folder • Checked chart settings and confirmed Market Depth is enabled • Set maximum virtual memory usage (pagefile) in Windows • Created new charts — Market Depth is still not working in those either ❗ Additional Information: • I’m receiving data via Denali feed — Market Depth displays correctly in some charts. • In charts where DOM works, “Chart Drawing Time” is significantly lower (e.g., 15 ms vs. 124 ms) • The order book data appears correctly in the DOM • Market Depth does not work even in newly created charts for the same symbol Please advise me on how to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance for your support. Best regards, TomVok |

We assume you are referring to the Market Depth Historical Graph. In a chart where this is not showing as you expect, set the following in the study: - Show Quantity Numbers: In Bars - Use Secondary Numbers Color for Quantities Greater Than or Equal To: 1 - Secondary Numbers Color for Quantities Greater Than or Equal To: set to a color that is distinct from your background If the numbers do not show, then try expanding the scale to make sure they are not so tightly packed that they are not able to be displayed. They may not show at all, which is what we are wanting to see - but again, the scaling has to be correct. Then get us an image of the chart by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: Attaching or Posting a Screenshot/Image (Optional) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

This is not an issue with just Market Depth.

Please do the following: - For one chart where you are having this issue, duplicate that chart to a new chartbook. - Close all chartbooks in Sierra Chart. - Select "Window >> Message Log". - On the Message Log window, select "Edit >> Clear Log". - Select "Yes" on the prompt to verify that you want to clear the log. - Select "File >> Open Chartbook" and open the chartbook with the one chart in it that you created above. - Get us your Message Log by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-06-11 20:23:35

The directions specified that we wanted you to open the chartbook you had duplicated the chart into. This way there would only be 1 chart and we can analyze the Message Log easier. Please go through the instructions again. We also cleared up some wording that may have been confusing in those instructions. I have followed all the instructions you provided, with one exception: I was not able to clear the Message Log. When I go to Window → Edit > Clear Log in Sierra Chart, a warning appears: Notice: To continue to receive real-time CME data through the Denali Exchange Data Feed when using the lower priced CME exchange fees which are enabled on your account requires that you connect Sierra Chart to your live trading account at least once a month. Because of this, I launched TWS and connected Sierra Chart to Interactive Brokers data. On these data Market Depth Historical Graph started displaying correctly. After that, I disconnected from IB and switched back to SC Data - All Services (Denali). I tried again to clear the Message Log using Clear Log, but even after connecting to a live trading account, the Message Log did not clear. Each time I attempt to clear the log, I receive the same warning about the monthly live account connection, but the log itself remains unchanged. This puts me in a kind of loop — I am unable to clear the Message Log, and after switching back to SC Data from IB Data, the market depth stop displaying again. Please advise how I can resolve this. It looks like we missed the fact that your "Verified Until" date was not in the future, and therefore you were not able to get the real-time CME Group data. Although this does not fully explain the issue with the Market Depth. We see that this has been resolved at this time, as your "Verified Until" date is now showing as "2025-07-11" (July 11, 2025). When you clear your Message Log, some lines will automatically be put back in. This is normal, so you just continue forward when that occurs. If you are still having an issue then we need to see the Message Log per the instructions in Post #4. Feedback for your team: • I’m connecting to Denali data via API. When I launch Sierra Chart through an API connection to Interactive Brokers (IB), everything works fine. I don’t know why, but only in this mode do market depth load properly. • I haven’t attempted to clear the Message Log again. I already spent an entire night trying to resolve it, unsuccessfully. • I regret the unnecessary electricity I’m currently wasting, as I have to run Sierra Chart (Package 12) together with TWS. Without connecting to TWS, Sierra doesn’t function correctly. I don’t want to waste more time troubleshooting this issue, so I’ll keep using the TWS method, which works reliably. • On a positive note: Thank you — I really appreciate that Sierra now loads IB symbols automatically, so I no longer have to change them manually. When you change to using "SC Data" rather than "Interactive Brokers" are you selecting "Yes" to the question about updating symbols in the popup window that comes up after you select "OK" to close the Data/Trade Service Settings window. Every service uses a different symbology, so when you change service settings, you need to update the symbols.
