I want to use denali data but place orders on IB

Subject updated from 'totally lost' to 'I want to use denali data but place orders on IB' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I was using Denali data with the help of of your colleague Raymond but I've noticed that the drop down on the Dom only has sim1 and my account with IB which was the main purpose to get SC is not there, so I went through the documentation to link them and now I can see my IB account but to do that I had to switch the Data/service settings on the global settings from SC to IB, so does that mean I'm using IB now as my data provider? and can't I just use your data but the orders would be placed on IB. Thanks in advance for your prompt reply.

Hi, Sorry to bother you again but I couldn't link IB to SC properly it seems when ever I place and order I get this error message, So would you plz help me connecting my IB account to your SC platform , maybe it's too complicated or I'm getting old or maybe because English is not my first language. all I want is to have your Denali data and when I sell or buy the order goes through IB, I've failed to do that since last Wednesday, so I'd really appreciate if someone could help me with the issue to start trading I'm still using IB TWS and done nothing with SC plz help.

What is the error message that you are getting? I still didn't place an order to your platform due to failing to connect it to IB account, it's been a week unfortunately and you keep referring me to the documents that already failed to solve the problem, all I need is a remote help for 5 minutes to make it work, if not can I please cancel the subscription and have a refund, thanks.

In particular, if you have gone through the setup instructions to connect your Sierra Chart to IB, then what error are you now receiving? What does it state? Offhand, it looks like you have made a good connection to IB. Therefore, if you are having an issue, we do not think it is related to this. if someone would remote help me for 5 minutes instead going back and forth for a week wouldn't it be easier, seriously what is more problematic for a customer than he can't place an order or make the platform that he paid for work properly, what could be more urgent!?

I switched it to the real account and still getting error messages, what I sent here is an example of different error messages I get, now what are the chances to get my money back I really lost interest in this platform and I want to go back to Ninjatrader, since it's been a week and it seems to hard for some one to help other than this sending posts every day here, so I'd appreciate if someone of the refund team would refund the money to the card and thanks.

I was having the same IB error message today: Trade Order Error - Cannot submit non-simulated order when in Trade Simulation Mode. The way I solved it was I opened up and cleared the Trade Activity Log and the Trade Service Log. Open up the Trade Menu using the Menu Bar. Select 'Clear Trade Simulation Orders and Data' (Right hand side of Trade Menu). You can open up the Trade Activity Log and Trade Service Log from the Trade Menu. Open the Trade Activity Log and make sure the drop down list shows 'All Accounts'. Open the Trade Service Log and select Edit and Clear Log to clear the Trade Service Log. The Trade Menu also has the Trade Orders, Trade Positions and Trade Account Monitor / Balances Window. Go to the Trade Menu and Uncheck 'Trade Simulation Mode On'.
