Hi Support, when updating to 2 computers so more than 1 computer has access to real-time data:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed

Is the cost prorated or should I wait till the beginning of the month?

It is not pro-rated. You will pay the full monthly amount regardless of how much time is left in the month.

We recommend you wait until the beginning of next month before you activate the second connection, since there are only 9 days (5 trading days) left in this month.

Thank you, I will wait. Also, I have an ADMIS account with SC/TT order routing. How long will this continue to be supported?

There is no definite date. However, we strongly recommend that you get this moved over, to either Advantage, Dorman or Phillip Capital, and one of their introducing brokers to be using the new Sierra Chart Direct order routing.

I have updated to 2 computers today. However, I still only receive real-time data on 1 computer. Can you please check if everything is set up correct?

You have everything setup properly. The first thing to do is to exit Sierra Chart and start the program again using the Forced Login option. This will ensure that your local Sierra Chart is up to date with our servers. Follow these instructions to login using this option:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Forced Login

If you are still not getting the real-time data on the second system, then get us the Message Log from that system by following these instructions:

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog

We will then determine what the problem is.

Here is the problem per the log:
SC Data - All Services | Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded. | MaxConnectionsDifferentDevices = 2, NumCurrentConnectionsDifferentDevices = 3

This is stating that you already had connections from 2 computers and when you tried to connect from this one, it then counted it as 3 total connections, which is not allowed.

Is it possible that you have a Sierra Chart running on another computer somewhere that you forgot to exit from? If so, then you would need to exit that Sierra Chart installation in order to be able to run it from this computer.

There are sometimes where we have seen the information not get updated properly, so it could also just be that you need to exit from all your Sierra Charts that are running and then restart them. Make sure you exit from all of them first on all computers. Then start up again.

We can look up the IP addresses of the systems that are connected if that would help you. Let us know and we can post that information here for you.

It is working now. I exited completely both computer systems, restarted both systems and they are working correctly now.

I just updated to 2326. Exited and rebooted. Now getting the error again.

SC Data - All Services | Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded. | MaxConnectionsDifferentDevices = 2, NumCurrentConnectionsDifferentDevices = 3 | 2021-11-10 00:46:17.350

My setup is 2 separate computers:
1 computer running 2 instances of SC
1 computer running 1 instance of SC

SC is only running on these 2 computers.

You definitely do not need to do this:
so it could also just be that you need to exit from all your Sierra Charts that are running and then restart them.

You only need to reconnect the instances:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

Regarding post #11 just reconnect the instances of Sierra Chart which are using the Denali Exchange Data Feed.

We had developed a solution to this issue, but apparently there was some issue with it, based upon a user report and we have not examined it closely yet. So we reverted it back.

We were mistaken, the solution we developed to this problem was not causing any issue. What we found is that it was not fully implemented.

We have completed the implementation and will be fully released, by tomorrow morning. So this issue should be fully avoided going forward after updating to the latest prerelease when available later today.

Forced login is not a solution. That has no effect upon the problem. Doing what you did was only coincidental.
