1. You have to try and see. We do not think that would make any difference.

2. Refer to:
Chart Menu: Recalculate (Chart menu)

What they told you is not true.

Hello,

How does the time zone play a role in data feed and indicators? I had my time zone set to PST USA. Today I changed it to EST and surprisingly, all my charts started loading again from scratch. Is there a reason for this?

How does the time zone play a role in data feed and indicators?

It can play a role in terms of some indicators being able to display properly or not, especially when the indicator is updating on a Daily basis, as the change in the time zone can cause issues with how it recognizes the beginning and ending of a trading day.

But, it definitely should not make any difference in terms of the data itself loading. You should be getting the data regardless of the time zone setting of the chart.

Hello,

I have two questions now.

1) I got a new laptop and installed Sierra charts on it. In terms of loading the charts and indicators, there is no problem having the software on both laptops is it? Any restrictions?

2) I have paid for my subscription but a message keep appearing for my Denali Data feed saying I have not paid and it is cancelled but it is not the case. Can it be removed?

Thank you

1. The only restriction is with the data feed. You can not access the data on both systems at the same time without paying the exchange fees twice. Refer to the following:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed on Two Computers Simultaneously

2. You can hide these messages by going to your Account Control Panel on our website and then selecting the "Hide" button by the message. We have done this for you for that specific message.

Another question I have is regarding an indicator that is showing inconsistent results. I installed Sierra on my new machine (much better spec) and the new indicator (shows market Depth orders) where it shows strange levels. I checked on my older laptop with 2308 software (disconnected the new one and connected the old one) and the indicator is showing way different levels. What could be the reason for this? Thank you.

We would need to see a screenshot to understand what exactly you are seeing. Refer to the following for how to get a screenshot:

Please kindly let me know the reasoning behind the differences that I see between the two Laptops. The Chart and indicator configuration is the same for both devices.

For the second photo, please ignore all the other indicators except for the pink/purple lines similar to the other image. Sorry I forgot to remove irrelevant indicators on the old machine.

If what you are referring to in post #32 is a custom study, there is no way we possibly can understand what the issue is.

One thing we recommend doing is re-downloading the data:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

If there is a dependency on market depth data, then re-download that:

Hello,

I have two questions:

1) What is exactly the market depth for non-professional traders? How does it make it difference on the orders and the DOM? I currently have the CME without market depth data. Any info will be appreciated as I'm kind of confused about the differences.

2) On the Global Settings tab, "Support downloading Historical Market Depth Data" and "Max Historical Market Depth Days to Download", what are these two and what role do they play? It is currently set to NO for me. Also, is it linked to having market depth data enabled or not?

Thank you,

1. Refer to the definition of "Market Depth" here:
Sierra Chart Nomenclature: Market Depth

2. They play no role if you are not getting Market Depth data.

Otherwise, refer to the documentation for these items starting here:

Hello,

-What service package do I need run footprint chart (volume bar) on Sierra? Can package 10 run it?

-When using footprint chart, it makes sene to use CME data with market depth correct? The non market depth data wont provide much info.

-For service package 12, is there more in depth information to better understand market by order data and what it brings?

Thank you,

You will need Service Package 11.

For Sierra Chart pricing, refer to this page:
Description of Service Packages and Pricing

You do not need Market Depth data for the Numbers Bars study. It is fully unnecessary.

Service Package 12 does provide access to the market by order data. For more information about market by order data, refer to:
Market By Order Data
