Dear SC -

Attached please look at the following link to a test between SC DOM and Metatrader5 DOM (MT5 sucks thats why I used it) - https://konrad.tinytake.com/tt/NDM4ODIxN18xMzg1NTU2Mg

File is also attached.

In SC there are no chartbooks open other then just that DOM - in MT5 there are 14 charts in one profile open with a bunch of indicators... I did this just to make sure. I also opened my account in TradingView and it is running smooth with tick by tick updates and the DOM is popping.

Everything is slow, slow to change charts, slow to open settings, etc.

I have looked at chart sizes, cleared out .scid files, reviewed all update processes and your documents on speed.

I have gone thru my computer... CPU use is about 13% with SC open, memory draw nothing, GPU cards seem fine and test out great if I load a "combat" type game, no lag.

Thoughts...

Konrad.

This is not making sense to us:
Everything is slow, slow to change charts, slow to open settings, etc.
You said you just have one trading DOM open. But yet you are making reference to charts. You are describing a total impossibility.

Anyway we we cannot help with any issues with the CQG data feed if there is a problem with that feed itself.

Set the Chart Update Interval to 250:
Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu)

We want you to use the delayed exchange data feed:
Delayed Exchange Data Feed

Let us know how that data feed works for you.

And if that works better than CQG then use the Denali exchange data feed for real-time data :

I am having the same issue with a sluggish feeling data- I am on denali, is just setting chart update to 250 the best path, is there anything else I should try? I am wondering if perhaps I set up denali wrong and it’s not using it?

Sorry don’t intend to hijack this post, but figured that’s better than opening a new ticket!

Thanks!

There can be many reasons for this and all the known items are documented here:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

Hi Team,
I have ran through the documentation there and am still having sluggish data. I have nothing running, no cpu load and biz internet speeds-- here is a video of how it looks 10 min to close in front month ES

Nothing else running in SC or on computer. Thank you in advance for any advice- I am on a new gaming PC with no virus protection or other big processes running.

I still have sluggish issues as well. I have made some minor improvements but it is still chunky. CPU/Graphics/Internet, etc. all running very well. Computer Heat low.
I did follow all documentation and actually re-built my chartbooks from scratch to get rid of any extras... I had some very minor improvements doing this, but the chunky slow still is there.

In regards to post #5, you need to reduce the Chart Update Interval:
Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu)

If the issue is related to connectivity (does not look like that to us at all), then refer to help topic 4.16:
Prices / Data Falling Behind: 4.16 - Monitoring Sierra Chart Data Feed Performance from Perspective of Server

User at post #5 is using the Denali data feed. User at post #6 is not.
