All versions of Sierra Chart work with Rithmic. If there is a problem with the downloading of historical data, then start a new Support Request about this and we will get the log from you and look at it.

Sorry we are not providing any help with Rithmic. Make your own conclusions. You are fully on your own with Rithmic at this point in time. As far as we are concerned we have too much patience with Rithmic. Why anyone would continue on with Rithmic we do not know. The interface Sierra Chart has to Rithmic is substandard and there are historical data problems as well.

Why you would put your trust in it when we do not, we simply do not know.

Is there anyone out there who has gotten this to work help me out? I would like to use my Sierra charts/chart trader to trade the Gauntlet (and my funded account if I pass) with Earn2Trade instead of using Rithmic's DOM. I love my Sierra charts but I might have to go to NT if I can't figure this out. I even contacted Rithmic and they couldn't help.

I got the original error, so I created the Rim folder as required, installed the files, reinstalled the software so as to install other files, etc. That didn't help. All it did was change the error message I got. I also ran the bridge program outside Sierra and got the error I was supposed to for that ("Port number not specified. Will exit."). So all is fine there.

I have tried to connect with sim mode checked in Sierra, and sim mode unchecked, which if I was using my CQG would connect me with my live/real trading account. Still get the same new error.

So I am posting this as an appeal for help from someone who fixed the issue who still had problems after they did the primary fix of reinstalling Sierra with the appropriate box checked for additional files, and also created the Rim folder and installed those files.

I asked E2T if they could hook me up with someone who got it fixed, but they won't hook my up with any of their users due to privacy.

I really want to use Sierra and the chart trader. Help!

Edit: The new error after doing everything in this thread is: Connection error message from service: Rithmic Trading|Logon error received from server

In regards to post #30, we think the problem that you are having is that you are using a Sierra Chart account provided by AMP which will not be allowed to connect to a Rithmic introducing broker other than AMP.

But then again the error message you are getting does not seem to confirm what we are saying. So there may be some other issue.

In any case, you do need a direct account in your case. Which you actually have posted this message with. We have activated that for a few days so you can test. So make sure you log into Sierra Chart with that account:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Login with a Different Sierra Chart Account Name

Also this is no longer necessary:
after they did the primary fix of reinstalling Sierra with the appropriate box checked for additional files,
since the bridge files are no longer provided with Sierra Chart. They are in this thread instead.

Thanks for the reply. This sounds like it could be the problem.

So what pass and username am I to log in with now? The original you sent me that has expired when I first signed up to Sierra? When I sign in with that user and password it says, "Your paid usage time has ended. Your account is in Free Mode..." and appears to have loaded data but is not connected to a feed. Is it from here that I now try and connect with my Earn2Trade/Rithmic data feed?

One other thing. When I go to the Data/Trade Service Settinsg all of the feeds named have "Not enabled on package" beside them including the Rithmic choice. Does this have any significance? I am assuming I should be choosing Rithmic here, but it also says not enabled on package. But when I choose Rithmic and use my user and password from them through Earn2Trade it doesn't even try to connect.

I just want to make sure I know how to test this.

With regard to Post #32:

You need to login using the Sierra Chart Account Name and Password that you used to post your message to this board. This account has been given usage time through July 6, 2020 for you to test the connection.

You cannot use your AMP account, that will not work for what you are trying to do.

I signed in with my login here and I first tested the delayed Sierra feed to make sure everything was working properly. It did connect to the delayed feed.

I changed to the Rithmic feed in both 'trade simulation mode on' and live and used my Rithmic user and pass and got the same error message: Connection error message from service: Rithmic Trading|Logon error received from server

So apparently that wasn't the problem. I really thought that was going to do it.

Thanks for your help.

Okay and this is just further confirmation why it is we are not continuing with support for Rithmic. We cannot be wasting our valuable time on this garbage.
