SC Data Connections Count Approach

It seems that when using the SC Real-time Data Feed (Eurex AND CME and hence CME is NOT Denali), the logic for counting the number of machine connections and the number of symbols subscribed for is messed up.

This is what i have experienced and hence require immediate clarifications and also actions from SC (since my CME connection is now totally blocked):

1. For non-professional subscriptions, the number of authorized machines is 2. Thats what i have been using.

2. On machine 1, i had 1 CME symbol (ES) with the Interactive Broker Symbol and with SC data enabled

3. On machine 2, i had 1 1 CME symbol (ES) with the Interactive Broker Symbol and with SC data enabled and the same symbol (ie ES), BUT with the SC data feed symbol (ie NOT the IB symbol)

4. So to recap - 2 machines, each using the SAME symbol (ES), but on machine 2 i had ES with the symbol for IB and ES with the symbol for SC data feed

5. SC seems to be COUNTING the above as "3 machines", because they started disabling 1 of the 3 SC instances running there (on machine 2 i had 2 SC instances so i could use ES with 2 differnt symbols - IB and SC respectively)

6. ON top of that it NOW seems that SC now has disabled ALL my CME data feed on ANY machine and on ANY Symbol and ONLY my EUREX subscripton is working (while i am also paying for CME)

7. BAsically the Machine and Symbol Counting Logic on the SC Server side is messed up and i require the follwoing immediately:
7.1 How EXACTLY the counting logic works
7.2 Enable IMMEDIATELY my CME subscription which is for TWO machines

the mess is now TOTAL and COMPREHENSIVE - the SC data server (ie in their data center) has DISABLED ALL my data subscriptions ie not possible to get data from Eurex or CME even from a single SC instance on a single machine as the error meesage is "connection limit exceed" - again thats provided ALL SC instances are shutdown and there is only ONE left on a single machine

what utter mess man - how can that be ALLOWED to happen - do you folks get something called "reliability" when people trade with LIVE MONEY

here is further info about the mess - on checking of my SC account i discovered that my previous TWO market data connections have been downgraded to ONLY ONE (must have happened i guess in relation to e.g. start of a new month - March). When i tried to RE-enable to 2 connections - the system returned Error Message that "my account type doesnt allow more than 1 connection" - my accoutn type is teh HIGHEST POSSIBLE ie SC PAckage 5 and Non-Professional Market Data Account which should allow 2 COnenctions for CME - as per previous SC communoications

On top of everything now it seems that whne i have ONLY 1 SC instamce on ONLY 1 machine and i try to use Eurex there is no data coming at ALL due to error message "connection limit exceeded" and thats for only 5 symbols i am trying to connect froma single SC ona single machine - ebverything else is shut down

total utter mess man - did you deploy some sort of new connection counting logic at the begining of MArch which is causing all that utter mess?

the utter utter utter mess continues to grow - now NOT possible get market data fore neither CME nor Eurex despite trying from a single SC instance on a single SC machine - error message the same - "symbol/connection limit exceeded"

what an utter crap - how can such a mess occur and let down people using live money for trading

There is a technical notice about this you are getting when you start Sierra Chart. Refer to:

This cannot possibly be down to zero connections. You must have an unknown connection being used somewhere. We checked and it is coming from IP 94.197.58.138 tracking 26 symbols at this time.

If you have any further issues, restart Sierra Chart to get the new internal username list for the connections and also we recommend updating to the latest version of Sierra Chart to properly recognize the new connection limit message.

THE ONLY OTHER SC INSTANCE I HAVE IS ON A THIRD MACHINE (I HAVE 3 SC INSTANCES LICENSE) AND IT IS CONENCTED TO RITHMIC DATA - ALL OF THESE SYMBOLS ARE FOR RITHMIC AND THE DATA COMES FROM RITHMIC AND THE SC DATA SUPPORT BOX IS UNCHECKED - DO YOU GET IT?

THERE ARE NO INSTANTIATES USING SC DATA

HOWEVER WHEN I LAUCH A SINGLE INSTAMCE IT CAN NOT CONNECT TO SC DATA DUE TO LIMIT EXCEEDED

No we do not get it. Clearly you are using one of the connections. We want you to close down each and every installation of Sierra Chart and just run one of them. There simply cannot be a problem with this at all on the Sierra Chart side. This is clearly obvious to us. We can see the connection.

To disable the use of the Sierra Chart exchange data feed you need to uncheck Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds in:
Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings

And reconnect to the data feed:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

If you continue to have a problem we insist that you close down each and every installation of Sierra Chart you have on all of your computers and just run one of them and then proceed from there because clearly one of them is using the SC exchange data feed connection and this is unknown to you.

At this very moment we see your connection from IP 2.97.101.62 tracking 6 symbols to the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.

A team viewer session is going to be meaningless because you have multiple systems and this is not something we can contend with just looking at a single system.
