The documentation here has been updated to separately explain the two different methods of sharing data between instances of Sierra Chart:

Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance

There is also this method here when you want to share data between instances of Sierra Chart which are using different Trading services:

Yes the data is being used by Sierra Chart by one user on one system. And all of this is technically supported as well.

11.To create a new symbol, press the Add or Duplicate button to add a new symbol or duplicate an existing symbol to a new symbol. Enter the new symbol name and select OK (for example: XBTUSD-CUSTOM).

Or select an existing symbol in the list to modify the Symbol Settings for that symbol. Each set of Symbol Settings needs to have a unique symbol for each Data/Trade service being used. There cannot be a duplicate symbol for the same Data/Trade service. So if you want to access data from a Source instance of Sierra Chart for a symbol that is already listed for the current Data/Trade Service you are using in the Destination instance, then edit those Symbol Settings rather than using a new symbol.

I do not understand, under what cases will I need to make a duplicate symbol? I dont understand the meaning of listed on the current data service in the dest instance.

In your case you would never need to use a new symbol. Just edit an existing symbol.

I have a few questions about the technical support of this:

1. The separate instances shouldn't mistakenly send trade executions among them. The simulation env sending actual trade orders or the two trading instances messing each others orders.

2. There is no lag between the instances of SC on the same system, i.e all of them receive real-time data simultaneously.

1. The method documented here does not support trading:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/MultipleServices.html#AccessingMarketDataFromOtherInstancesOfSierra%20Chart

So there is no concern of orders being sent from one instance to another.

2. There is no lag at all.

Can i have the source instance as a simulation one and two client instances for order routing?

I am asking this because the symbol names are quite different for the order routing instances with the suffix of the exchang ename. however in dev env with SC Data all services they are shorter.

Yes this will work.

Just make sure you set the Source Data Multiplier Symbol Setting appropriately. If the source instance is set to SC Data-All Services , the multiplier will be the inverse of the SC Data Multiplier setting.

For example, for the ES?## in the source instance using SC Data-All Services this will be set to .01. But in the destination instance for the SC order routing service which uses symbol ES?##_FUT_CME, the Source Data Multiplier needs to be the inverse and set to 100.

Looking over how the remapping is handled, we think we need to make a code change to make this work if you are using one of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feeds. We will implement this. We will get this done this evening and we will do some testing to confirm.

Could you please follow up on my account support ticket, in the meanwhile. Since I have a professional agreement, I would like to discuss how you can support multiple connections with the new policies.

Denali connections
Two simultaneous connections to this data feed are supported, and there are no symbol limits imposed as to how many symbols you can receive real-time data on concurrently.
Denali Exchange Data Feed

If I have understand for Denali only noPro can use two simultaneous connections. And pro can use only one simultaneous connection. Maybe you should change the doc of denali, for add this information.

Denali + SC RealTime

If a non pro use in same time denali (CME) and SC RealTime (Eurex) what is the concequence for simultaneous connections ? (You planed to add this possibility SCRT + Denali)
- Only one simultaneous connections (the limitation of SC RealTime limit denali)
- Two simultaneous connections for CME symbols (Denali) and only one for Eurex symbols (SC RealTime)
- A setting for exclude SC RT in one instance of SC
- An other idea

Yes we will update the Denali data feed documentation to indicate that professionals are only allowed one connection.

- Two simultaneous connections for CME symbols (Denali) and only one for Eurex symbols (SC RealTime)
Yes this will be the case.

We have confirmed that on version 2062, data sharing between installed instances of Sierra Chart on the same machine do work, when using the main server instance as SC Data-All Services and the client instance set to the SC order routing service.

Below is an example to confirm the proper functioning:
Generic Client (127.0.0.1:11094) | Restarting real-time data updates for symbol: ESH20_FUT_CME -> ESH20 | 2020-03-06 16:45:38.405
Generic Client (127.0.0.1:11094) | Received security definition for symbol ESH20_FUT_CME | 2020-03-06 16:45:38.418
Generic Client (127.0.0.1:11094) | Real-time data for symbol ESH20_FUT_CME has been restored. | 2020-03-06 16:45:39.073

Generic Client (127.0.0.1:11094) | Received security definition for symbol ESH20_FUT_CME | 2020-03-06 16:45:39.104
HD Request # 2 | Downloading Intraday chart data for ESH20_FUT_CME to the file ESH20_FUT_CME.scid. Service: sc_futures.dtc.trading | 2020-03-06 16:45:43.724

Dear Support,

I am still waiting for a reply/instructions to my support ticket (sent from my newly created 2nd account with the hope to keep communication clear and fast) regarding how to activate the professional data for my 2nd account.

Can you please get back to me with with an exact reply asap? My trading is pending/suspended since this change happened on 1 March.

I have already checked many times the DTC options during the past 2 years but it is not a viable technical/practical solution in my case.

Thank you.

We did set up the pricing and free time on that account as specified. So you just need to log into this website with that other account, and then activate the data feed according to the instructions here:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Setup Instructions

The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for that account will be simply set up in an identical way as your current account.

Thank you, thats clear, but I have sent many other questions - actual issues that I encountered with last time, initially when signed up to the pro RT feeds.
There is also a problem with the EUREX pro/non pro category selection.
One of your colleagues promised to get back to me on Friday with the proper answers - I havent received any contact from him.
May I ask you to reply to my support ticket with the answers instead of addressing my questions here?
Thank you.

For data sharing between installed instances of Sierra Chart
I have test SC 1063 + Denali SC Data-All Services for server and the client instance set IB with futures ZN.
This Work.

(I did not touch the Source Data Multiplier and let 1 [1 * 1 = 1])

____
In you doc you said, if SC Data Multiplier is 0.01 (Server) we put Source Data Multiplier to 100 (Client). (With this rules x * y = 1)
Is only, SC Data-All Services with SC Order Routing
Or
Is SC Data-All Services with All service (IB, CQG, Transact, Gain)

Sierra Chart Engineering - Posts: 104368
You must mean version 2063. Not 1063. Regarding the Source Data Multiplier you will want to use 1 in the configuration you described.

The multiplier might only need to be changed differently in the case of SC Data-All Services and feeding data to SC Order Routing.

Yes, 2063.
Ok, only SC Data -> SC Order Routing (probably a specifity of TT).
If, is the only case. That can be an important info for the doc.

Dear Support,
I have just tried to activate all the pro exchanges for my 2nd account with zero success (error with ICE USA and EUREX + can not enable Denali at all).
I have sent a support ticket from my 2nd account - can you please advise on that?
Thank you.

The Denali Exchange has been activated on your 2nd account. You can now activate the needed exchanges:

Your 2nd account has been set as a non-Professional account, so you can activate the non-Professional exchanges:

Just to make sure I understand/did correctly:

I activated the ICE US and Eurex for my 2nd account as a non-pro.
I activated the Denali CME group for my 2nd account as a pro.

Can you please confirm that my understanding is correct?

I just want to avoid the same issue (without knowing, paying less than what is required.)

Thank you.

This is how it is for the time being. But expect at some point Barchart will make the account professional.
