Hi SC,
I was recently in contact with you regarding setting up a UAT environment using the SC Futures Order Routing/Data feed and I can now see my account added under Account Control Panel. I am also able to get the Symbols and charts open, but there seems to be a lag between the system time and the chart time till where its loaded. I am attaching a screenshot of the same, and also the message log as you have given instructions on the documentation page. I only need to get the Real Time updating done and then i guess the UAT environment would function as expected.

We apologize for the delay. We have done yesterday a reconfiguration of the servers used by this order routing service. This is why you cannot connect to the UAT system. This issue does not affect live trading. We will have this resolved for UAT after the close today.

This service also requires the use of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed to receive the real-time data. We see your account does not currently have that active. So you would have to activate that. Here is the relevant documentation and instructions:

Additionally please take note of the following:

Understand, that there is a difference between the actual exchange real-time data and the pricing in the UAT environment. So you are going to see that orders fill at different prices and orders do not fill when expected. But it is a good test to check the transmission of orders.

I understand that the pricing will be different, but if the data updates in real-time, that would be just fine to test the transmission.
Also i have a question: What would be the difference between the UAT environment trades and the ones that i get when i replay charts on my SC with the SC Data- All Services feed?

Another question relating to the set-up of the Sierra Exchange Data Feed setup: (that you have given me the link for)
Do i need to activate that even if i have a trading account with TT?

This is the only roadblock in testing out my trading system, which i would first like to do in UAT and then move to Live, and your help in setting this up is appreciated (I'd only need instructions the one time). Thank you for your patience with the same.

The difference will be the trades when doing a replay will be simulated within Sierra Chart and properly match the prices of the chart bars.

Please understand you cannot use UAT to test a trading system. This definitively will not work at all. There will be all kinds of associated problems. UAT is not a simulation environment. It is the exchange test servers which has very different order activity and different pricing. It is very very different from the actual live data feed. Instead you must use Trade Simulation Mode when connected to SC Data-All Services or when using the SC order routing service:

We finished with the server reconfiguration yesterday.

In Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings, you can use Server 1 and Server 2 for UAT for the primary and backup servers. Only those servers support UAT.

Before activating a real time data connection, we need to set the futures broker, which in my case is TT, but the drop down menu doesnt show TT among the futures brokers.

For the UAT testing, is it enough to set the option to Do Not have futures broker, and maybe i could change it when i want to shift to live?

Also regarding the signing of exchange agreements, which options do I select? I'd appreciate a little help regarding this.

In your particular case the broker will be one of the following: : "GH Financials" or "Mercury Derivatives Trading". These have been added to the list. It could not be Trading Technologies. They are not a broker or clearing firm.

You do have to specify your broker in the case of CME data.

Last Question regarding this, to test the order transmission (the orders will be generated by my algo running on real-time charts), using UAT environment, what settings do i have to change?
I am using the SCFuturesOrderRouting/Data service with UAT port, and ive turned the TradeSimulation Mode off. Please let me know if there are any other configurations to be set.

These are the correct settings. Nothing else.

But just understand that you are not necessarily going to get a fill when you expect and the fill price in UAT is going to match whatever orders are at the exchange test server. They will be quite different than the current actual live market prices.

Small doubt: If i have one real time data connection enabled for my account, can i run it on two different systems( I mean computers here), or do i need two separate real-time data connections for different PCs.

Hi,
THis is in regards to the UAT environment you have helped me set up last week. My System generated an order today and this is the error message im getting. Please check attached snips of Trade Service Log and Trade Orders Positions tab.

This is the same error message that we gave TT. Either you or your broker needs to contact TT and give them the account identifier and have them resolve this.
