In the Trade Window the Trade Account is UNSET

Hi,

I am setup with a live account with AMP for clearing and CTS T4 DTC data connection.

When i open the Trade Window to begin trading i see that the section for Trade Account is showing "unset". I followed the sierra instructions (link below) regarding this issue and thus contacted AMP, however, they claim that everything is correctly inputted on their end and they referred me to you guys. ( Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM) )

I would appreciate any insight into how to fix this issue.

You should see this very same message in Trade >> Trade Service Log every 10 minutes when connected. Can you confirm that. That is important that is working properly. That should give you a very good indication what the problem is. That is the whole reason why this data is passed through to the user. It surprises us why these questions come up and users are just not recognizing that unless it is just not working right. So let us know. Just connect now and stay connected for 10 minutes and tell us if you see the message.

Hello,

I have re-inputted my credentials in the "trading service login details" as directed. It made no difference.

My hunch is that my account is not set to the DTC connection type, but rather the FIX connection. This might also explain why sierra automatically tries to login with the FIX connection. When i manually switch this connection to DTC the data begins streaming and i can do everything but send orders. Please find attached my Message Log & Trade Service Log:

Update:

I spoke with CTS and they double checked my setting on their server. From what they can see i have all the correct permissions setup. However, they do not see my login into the DTC server, so perhaps the issue is sierra is still trying to connext to the FIX server. I would appreciate if you guys could double check this, also, this is the error i get when placing a limit order:

Could you contact your broker and have them contact CTS and help them with this problem:

The message in bold is from the CTS system. Your broker and CTS need to work this out assuming you have entered the username and password correctly.

Hi,

I appreciate the assistance in this matter.

I spoke with CTS and their Tech support did see an issue relating to my account. They claimed the copy of Sierra i was using was "retail" and therefore they had to change the "permission". Not totally sure what they meant as i had athorized Sierra as a 3rd party app, however, sierra does now open and connect to CTS directly. Progress.

That said, i waited for the market to reopen and tried placing a limit order as a test and i have the following errors in the log:

My next troubleshooting step is to speak with AMP tomorrow morning as it appears the account has been "locked" due to too many failed logins.

If you have any additional advice before i speak with AMP it is appreciated, otherwise i will report back tomorrow in either case.

It does not seem as though what CTS did is helping because the last message is this:

It does not indicate the account is locked either so there still is something going wrong. It looks like that lock condition automatically clears.

CT112806 needs to be under the "AMP" firm.

The CTS username and password need to be correct.

And step 10 needs to be followed:

Those are the only items which can lead to the authentication failure condition to our knowledge.

Hi,

I contacted CTS and AMP and finally this issue was resolved. If i had insight into the fix i would share, but am not really sure.
