Refer to:
Unable to Change the Bar Time Period for Charts

That message should not show on its own. It only should be shown if you try to change the time period of the chart bars and there is a synchronized reference to the chart. We will look into that.

When you notice this continuous reloading of charts and you are seeing that prompt, then press Yes.

The reason for the problem is documented here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails30.html#h30.3

Restart Sierra Chart and provide a copy of the Message Log after you start to see the continuous reloading problem.

The information we gave previously is exactly about the problem that we are seeing:

CL.20161200.CME_NY [CBV] 1 Day #14 | Chart Settings have been synchronized between Destination chart number #10 and Source data chart number #14. Performing a chart reload of source data chart. Chartbook: Chartbook2.cht | 2016-11-11 12:47:16

Follow through the instructions in help topic 30.3:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails30.html#h30.3

You have the information to resolve the problem.

The problem is very clear to us and it does not make any sense why you would not see the continuous reloading on an earlier version. We are not willing to discuss that issue or research that issue. It is irrelevant at this point in time whether you agree or not.

We cannot say anything more than that. Once again, the problem is very clearly explained here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails30.html#h30.3

Read through help topic 30.3. Chart number 14 is being referenced by more than one chart with a different timeframe per bar.

We do not want to keep repeating ourselves. Our time is very valuable. And we know what we are talking about. When we say something, it counts and you should pay attention to it. It is not very common that we say something which is inaccurate.

We acknowledge that you may not have seen the chart reloading problem in an earlier version, we are not sure why, but the reason why it is occurring now is very apparent and is explained here:

This does not make any sense to us as to why this could happen. There is nothing in Sierra Chart which will change one of these Inputs to reference another chart. It simply does not exist. The only thing that does exist is to change the input internally to 0 to remove the reference and this is explained here:
Unable to Change the Bar Time Period for Charts

And in any case, simply change the references to what they should be.

What specific TPO Profile Chart Study Inputs changed? This does not make any sense to us either.

Not sure what setting you are referring to which would stop the reloading. This does not make sense to us either. But this is beside the point.

but trying to get my references/overlays that i do need and had working is not working anymore.

The best way to approach the problem is to read the documentation for the studies that you are using and work through what you need to do from the very start. Here is the relevant documentation:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TechnicalStudiesReference.html

However, when it comes to referencing other charts make sure you do not create the condition which is described in help topic 30.3:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails30.html#h30.3

As long as you avoid that, you will not have any difficulties.

i have a 2 charts with the same session times but one based on volume and one based on time. on my volume chart if i reference the time chart with a study overload i changes the bar time period to 1 day instead of 30m as set and the chart goes blank. this was not an issue previously. i have tried to different study overlay studies and both do the same thing. so either i was doing something wrong that has worked forever and was fixed in this update or something in this update has broken something or both of these studies that im trying to overlay are now broken somehow.

We do not see how this can possibly happen and we do not have any other reports of this.

the TPO bar time setting was changed to 1m instead of 30m
In an Intraday TPO chart, the underlying chart bars must be 1 minute and they will automatically change to 1 minute. This is nothing new.

You need to use the Study/Price Overlay study:

Actually we see another report of a problem when someone is using the Study/Price Overlay study related to the source chart settings getting synchronized. We are looking into that.

Just give us about 20 minutes.

This may be the reason for the issues you are seeing.

OK we now see a problem with the Study/Price Overlay study in 1484 causing a synchronization of the source chart to the destination chart.

We have released 1485 now which resolves this. Update to the "Prerelease" following the instructions here:
