Hi, I am still trying to verify whether my 2-hour bars are aligned correctly after changing the time zone settings. In TradingView, my 2-hour candles are aligned on odd hours (for example: 1:00, 3:00, 5:00, 7:00, 9:00, etc.). When I use the Crosshair in Sierra Chart and click on a candle, it shows a time of 03:00. At first glance this seems correct, but I am not completely sure whether Sierra Chart is displaying the candle start time, end time, or if there is still a one-hour offset somewhere in my chart settings. My goal is to have the Sierra Chart 2-hour bars aligned exactly the same way as TradingView. Could you please confirm: 1. Does the time shown by the Crosshair represent the start time of the bar or the end time of the bar? 2. If a 2-hour candle shows 03:00, does that mean the bar covers 03:00–05:00? 3. Based on the screenshots I provided, does the chart appear to be correctly aligned on odd hours (1:00, 3:00, 5:00, 7:00, etc.), or is there still a one-hour offset? I just want to be absolutely certain that my 2-hour candles are aligned correctly. Thank you. |

1. The start time of the bar. 2. It covers the time from 03:00 to 04:59:59 3. No. You have a Session Start Time of 10:00. Therefore, you will have a new bar that starts at 10:00 and then 2 hour bars until the evening session start at 17:00. Then you will get 2 hour bars starting at 17:00 until the start of the next day session at 10:00 again. In other words, you should be seeing the following bar times: 10:00 12:00 14:00 16:00 17:00 (start of evening session) 19:00 21:00 23:00 01:00 03:00 05:00 07:00 09:00 10:00 (start of next session) your actual bar times may vary depending on your time zone relative to the 1 hour break each day for the CME Group. If you want your bars to be on odd times, then you need to have a Session Time start that is on an odd hour. Also, your ending session times need to NOT include the following hour. For instance, if your day session ends at 17:00:00, then you need to enter an end time of 16:59:59. Hi John, I do not want the same 2-hour bars as TradingView. TradingView already gives me bars starting at 01:00, 03:00, 05:00, 07:00, etc. I want the opposite set of 2-hour bars: 00:00 02:00 04:00 06:00 08:00 10:00 12:00 14:00 16:00 18:00 20:00 22:00 Which Session Start Time and Session End Time should I use in Sierra Chart to create these 2-hour bars? Thank you. |

Make sure your Session Times start on even hours. That is all you need to do. We can not tell you exactly what session times to use, as we do not know how you want your charts setup or how you want to deal with session times. For information on Session Times, refer to the following: Chart Session Times And keep in mind, many of the CME Group products stop trading for 1 hour from 16:00 to 17:00 Central US time. So if you were setting your times relative to the Central US Time Zone, and you set your Evening Session Start Time to be "16:00", you will still get a single bar at 17:00 and then another at 18:00, since the market opened at 17:00 and there is no data from 16:00. Hi John, The 2-hour bars are working correctly now. Thank you. I have one last question. Is there a way to invert/reverse the chart vertically so that higher prices are displayed at the bottom and lower prices at the top? I like to analyze short setups using an inverted chart. Thank you. |

There are options to Invert and Multiply by -1. But not a direct ability to change the direction of the price ladder. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Invert Prices (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) Multiply Bars By -1 For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
