Enabling an Allowed Protected Custom Study

The study in question shows up under Allowed protected studies in the help tab (attached image) and on the sierra chart website. I have enabled downloads on startup. I have checked the message log upon startup and it says no downloads in the queue. I am not in safe mode. I still can not get it to show up in the custom studies window. But you are not seeing it in the list of Custom Studies? Can you get us an image of the Custom Study window itself (select "Analysis >> Studies >> Add Custom Study", then get us an image of the window that comes up). The delta_heatmap_smooth_64.dll shown in the message log is a different study that is working. It is not the 3rd party enabled MARKET_DEPTH_MANAGER study that I am trying to get to show up. Image 2 attached is showing the study I am trying to get to show. Thanks for your responses. |

Sorry - we got a bit confused. We have looked at the information for the "MARKET_DEPTH_MANAGER" group for distribution, and there are no files associated with that group. This is why you are not getting anything from it. If you want us to remove you from that group, we can do so, although we do recommend trying to contact the developer again and having them resolve this for you. Upon purchasing the study, I received an email from the developer, Chris- scstudies.com, thanking me and asking me if I had any questions. I replied to that email and submitted new emails through their support link. All e-mails got returned/were unable to send, even from 3 different email accounts. One thing we just thought of, is that the developer does not need to actually put any files for distribution if they do not want to. They can control who has access using that process, but they could then distribute the files themselves. Did they send you any files with an extension of .dll? If so, then you would need to put those files in the "Data" folder under your main Sierra Chart installation folder (typically this would be "C:\SierraChart\Data"). I truly appreciate your continued concern about this situation. I have only received one email from Chris at the support@scstudies.com Email address. He was very polite and thankful for the purchase as I am the first customer for this particular study. The email did not contain any attachments. Scstudies.com states the following.. “How does activation work after purchase? After payment, your Sierra Chart account is automatically authorized to use the study. The next time you open Sierra Chart, the study will be available in your Custom Studies list. No download or file transfer is needed.” I’ve since contacted my debit card provider and disputed the charge. I suspect this is probably just an honest mistake and will gladly purchase the study again if he gets back to one of us. Thanks for making the effort to reach him! Update: Everything has been sorted out! The developer received your message and promptly reached out to me. I canceled the dispute with my bank as the study is now working flawlessly and I am very pleased with it. Being able to adjust market depth visibility on the fly is well worth the cost. He very generously added other studies to my account for the trouble, and has provided a new contact email while he works out the support email issues. I learned a good bit about Sierra Chart in the process so it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I can wholeheartedly recommend checking out scstudies.com Thanks for your patience and commitment through this issue. |
