The past couple days i get all data freeze at 7:30am. Also the data misses from 7:30:00 am till 7:31:40 am even after redownload data.

We see the following in the log:

So there is a disconnection, but there is nothing in the log for any reason why it occurred. The data feed reconnected 3 seconds later as it states that it will do from the log entry.

We simply do not have enough information to point to anything specific. It could be any number of reasons for this at that time. In order to eliminate Rithmic as a possible issue - the data feed will drop if the connection to the trading service is lost - we recommend installing a second Sierra Chart with the "Current Selected Service" set to "SC Data". Then if you see this in the Rithmic installation but not the SC Data installation, then it is an issue with connectivity to Rithmic.

I had a freeze today againat 7:30. Had some premarket stocks open as test. Again freeze from 7:30 on the dot till 07:31:40.
I have also send the whole message log throguh send for analysis.

Issue is back. Today _mbo stocks freezing again at 7:30 on the dot for 2 minutes.

What time zone are you referring to?

Yesterday, we have to check the time but it was close to 9 AM or might have been around 8:30 AM US Eastern time, we did work on our CTA feeds (NYSE and AMEX).

Our provider of these data feeds, had an issue with one of their circuits in Pennsylvania from their carrier which delivers data, from New York to Chicago. So we were switching to a secondary circuit.

That would have caused an interruption for users of about 30 seconds. Maybe you are referring to that.

7:30 am Eastern Time zone. Take a look at example at BURU_MBO. Data missing from 07:30 AM till 7:32 AM(This was where the disconnect/data freeze comes in). This happened at all the _mbo stocks i had open. It disconnects at 07:30AM and connection comes back at 07:32AM.

We have looked into this carefully. At 7:30 AM US Eastern time, or at any time, on March 18 there definitely was not a lost connection to the NASDAQ server. There is no data loss at all. If the data feed stopped, there may have been a network connectivity issue, somewhere else, but there was no stopping data feed or lost data on our side.

That is definitely not proof that there is missing data. There may not have been any trades for that stock, on the NASDAQ.

The very same data feed (NASDAQ TotalView) at the same time was also, providing data for SPY at that time and we see the data:

We definitely cannot help with this further.

Actually it just occurred to us, that you are not actually referring to NASDAQ TotalView, but the US equities consolidated tape feed. There may very well have been a problem then. We will check.

Unfortunately the exact same issue happened again today. freeze at exactly 7:30am. Could not see any new data for a minute. Very frustrating when you're trying to trade.
You can take a look at EDHL_MBO 07:30:00 - 07:31:07 is missing. And any other U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape I was watching freezes.

EDHL had odd trading at that time, so there are gaps from 09:30 to 09:32 Eastern US Time. We have looked at charts from other vendors and see the same thing, so this does not appear to be anything about our data feed.

We are not seeing this with other symbols such as AAPL or TSLA.

EDHL had lots of volume, definitely no odd trading.

About AAPL and TSLA and others.
AAPL_MBO and AAPL -> No data 07:30 - 07:31 (AAPL-NQTV has 07:30 data)
TSLA_MBO and TSLA -> No data 07:30 - 07:31 (TSLA-NQTV has 07:30 data)
SPY_MBO and SPY -> No data 07:30 - 07:31 (SPY-NQTV has 07:30 data)
And others...


All these and more have 07:30 data with (-nqtv). You can verify this yourself.

All my (_mbo)charts froze from 07:30-07-07:31. this isn't the first time this happened either.

Attached is a chart from Yahoo Finance for EDHL in 1 minute bars (EDHL-1Minute.png). You will see from 09:30 (Eastern US Time) to after 10:30 is slow trading with no bars for several minutes.

Attached is a chart from Sierra Chart for the same time period (08:30 Central US Time) (EDHL[M] 1 Min - SC.png). Where you will see the same information. This is just showing some odd behavior at that time.

Although we do not know what time zone you are referencing when you say 07:30, so we can not be certain that this is exactly what you are referencing. Although we are not seeing any particular issues with missing data around the 30 minute mark for any hour around that same time.

We also looked at AAPL again, and we are not seeing any missing data outside of the lower volume trading hours, for instance there is a missing 10 second bar at 08:25:20, but this is before the main trading started and is not unusual. Otherwise, there is no missing data after that time.

Our point is that we are not seeing anything to believe there was any kind of general outage at that time. If you lost connectivity at that time, it would be due to your Internet connection and not due to our servers serving out the data. We also have not had any other reports of a specific outage at that time.

The feeze happens at 07:30AM Eastern Time till 07:31AM Eastern time. so for 1 minute. Which is 6:30AM till 6:31AM Central Time. Not 8:30AM Central time.


We had these discussions before a couple months back. And there were issues you guys found. Everything freezes for that 1 minute.
Let me give concrete proof here since I need to proof my claim again..

Please take a look at the sceenshots i have added. I have put up a 1 second chart. Every chart I load the 07:30(Eastern Time) minute is missing. Not much more proof I can give.
