Hi SC Team, I followed this link(Chart Settings: Days to Load for Intraday Chart Data Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method: Days to Load menu)) to load more data but was not successful for MESM25. I want 100 days worth of intraday data. That link suggested to use this link(Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Step-By-Step Instructions) to obtain more data with continuous charts but I did not follow that as it was unnecessary for my case since I don't need that much data. I have attached an image of my "Chart Setting > Data Limiting" settings in case I had screwed up there: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1746463198786.png. |

Is the "Date Range in File From" on the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting" page still showing as "2024-10-30"? If so, then change the days to load to "101" and then see if you get the data going back 101 days. If not, then tell us what the "Date Range in File From" is set to. - Yup, it's still the sameIf so, then change the days to load to "101" and then see if you get the data going back 101 days.
- I changed and did a "Edit >Reload & Recalculate" but there wasn't any changedIf not, then tell us what the "Date Range in File From" is set to.
- Still the same and haven't changed "2024-10-30"PS: I'm using "Use Number Of Days To Load" as the option for "Load Data Limiting Method" |

I have uploaded a 60M chart that is stuck at 27th April with the "Chart Settings > Data Limiting Window alongside it" https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1746586002572.png |

I tried "Edit > Delete All Data and Download" and it worked! However, I still would like to know why the prior methods were not helping. Thanks! EDIT: - This solution did not work if I change the timeframe, reopen Sierra Charts, do Chart Replay - Basically, anytime I change my chart, the chart refreshes to only show data from 27th April Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-05-07 08:42:24

Just checking in to see if this has been taken note of? I find it really hard to trade/analyse my charts.

As mentioned in the 1st post, I have actually tried that already. The only things I followed from that post thus far was the following (leaving all else unchanged) : You should make sure the Symbol Settings are up-to-date before re-downloading the data in the next step. This ensures the historical data request is routed to the correct source. Follow the instructions to Update the Symbol Settings. This step only needs to be performed once. If you are not sure whether you should perform this step, then perform this step.
Necessary Step: Go to the chart. Select Edit >> Delete All Data And Download on the menu. Press Yes to confirm. Sierra Chart will request historical Intraday data up to the number of days specified with the Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download setting explained above.
The issue is I can get the data if and only if I do "Edit > Delete All Data and Download". That data is gone if I attempt to change the chart or "refresh" the chart (eg: I switch timeframes). Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-05-08 20:05:52

Once again follow through all of the instructions: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data In particular step 1 through 3. You are already acknowledging, you did not follow these instructions. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I think there was a misinterpretation, I did not "follow" them as my current settings already obey those instructions. Eg: I'm already tick-by-tick data, already using the standard 186 (it's the default anyway) for "Max (Maximum) Historical Intraday Days to Download Non-Tick Data / 1-Tick Data" In summary: - I have done what the link told me to do the 1st time I posted this thread - I rechecked it the 2nd time (when you suggested the guidelines) where the only actions that actively took was the updating symbol settings and "Edit >> Delete All Data And Download" Apologies for the miscommunication. In any case, I have again followed the instructions just in case and the problem still persists; "Edit >> Delete All Data And Download" does offer temporary relief but any action that closes the chart such as switch timeframe resets it. |
