reverted back to 2504 same issue. There is a problem with the NQTV data feed not calculating previous day close correctly.

We know what the problem is. It will automatically be resolved this evening. And we have implemented a solution which will prevent it going forward.

We think we know why this happened for this trade date. It is a complex technical discussion which we will not get into. It has to do with the strange behavior from NASDAQ, of the particular type of connection we have for this feed.

Understand, that the settlement price is not provided by NASDAQ TotalView. It has to be determined by Sierra Chart.

This condition which led to this, is very very uncommon and sometime in the next 3 weeks, the feed type is going to change and there is not going to be any possibility of this particular cause happening again.

I wouldn't say it's very very uncommon when it's happened 3x in less than 60 days. You can't look at a Quoteboard of stock symbols from Nasdaq Totalview and have any idea on what is positive or negative on the day.

No need to get into technical discussion but can it be fixed today? I'm in with a group of traders using SC & NQ Feed that reached out to me on same issues.

Three times? We are aware of two times. And the cause this time is wholly different than the cause from last time.

The cause from last time was resolved but this is a different cause today. And the cause today is definitely something that is extremely uncommon.

No we cannot resolve this midday. That is impossible. NASDAQ TotalView does not provide settlement prices. This value is something we have to capture from the data. It is susceptible to failure. However, every time there is an incident steps are taken to resolve the particular cause. So the failure incidents becomes increasingly less likely as time goes by.

Yes 3x it happened prior to this thread as well. With SC I try to give any issue a day, or a pre-release update to fix a problem before immediately creating a thread and using your time/resources.

Regardless of who provides settlements prices or how they are calculated, they are all incorrect and you can't view a quoteboard or chart and have any idea of what is positive or negative on the day.

Thanks look forward to the fix.

We now have the full US equities consolidated tape data feed available:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation#USEquities

At the open at 4 AM, the NYSE/AMEX CTA feed provides the previous official settlement/close price . So that works reliably every day. For NASDAQ stocks, NASDAQ does provide the official settlement of the end of day and we do capture that so it is more reliable than NASDAQ TotalView.

For charting and settlement prices we do recommend using the US equities consolidated tape feed.

Is that correct, $100 for your new US equity consolidated tape a month? I only see professional pricing is there a non-professional price like on all other data feeds?

SC - this is happening AGAIN. It's really frustrating to be paying for the highest quality data feeds and ALL NASDAQ Totalview closing/settlement prices are wrong, by a LOT.

Yes of course there is nonprofessional pricing, do you not see it?

What you pay does not include the closing price because that is not provided by NASDAQ TotalView. It is generated by Sierra Chart from the historical end of day data but in this case it was not captured because there was a server move we did yesterday, which led to the cause of this. We definitely cannot make a guarantee it will not happen again as we are vulnerable, to this issue. The only thing that we can do is just remove the closing price altogether.

Starting tomorrow, the closing prices will be correct.

We recommend using the US Equities Consolidated Tape exchange for closing/settlement prices.

Yes this was corrected some time ago it was not an option, thank you.

Thank you, this is the problem not having accurate data throws off all calculations/percent since open etc. Using two different feeds one for intra-day data and another just to get closing prices seems unduly burdensome.

We do actually have a solution to this. We have this new data feed:
US Equities Consolidated Tape *Combined* with NASDAQ TotalView Market Depth

This feed, will give you market depth data from NASDAQ TotalView. All of the trade data, the best bid and ask, session values, and historical data all come from the US equities consolidated tape feed.

So this is what we recommend you use and this will solve the problem reliably effective at this time.
