Hi, I am coming back to trading after a break. I topped up my sierra account to receive real time cbot data, but my charts are still showing delayed data. My CQG account is dormant, but I'd like to practice with SIM trading before I decide to fund my account again. Why is the chart program showing delayed data? Haven't I already activated real time data? Thank you |

You have activated an exchange for the CME Group that is for Non-Professionals. In order to qualify as a non-professional for the CME Group, you need to connect your Sierra Chart to your live, funded trading account at least once a month. You have not made the connection to your account, therefore you are not able to get the real-time data. For more information regarding the requirement from the CME Group, refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges And refer to the following for the instructions to connect to your futures trading account once a month: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees --- Note that if you are not going to be doing live trading, then we recommend using the delayed streaming data instead of paying for the real-time data. The delayed streaming data acts, in all ways, the same as real-time, but is delayed by 10-15 minutes (depending on exchange) and is available at no cost as long as you have an active Sierra Chart account.
