The important is, give people a clear picture, what is your plan.
A detail of service of P10, P11; what chart version can be using, does the chart link to live trade?
At moment, paid P11 and data fees, the chart version must rollback to <V.2353, same as P5, to get live data; but the chart is unable link to trade service. That is not an independent chart!!! Nobody likes this kind service.

The plan is we are phasing out support for Transact and other services as well. Therefore, you will not be able to trade your Transact account from Sierra Chart. You still currently can, in version 2354 and earlier versions.

Due to CME market data policy:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

Since Transact support is being phased out, in order to authorize real time CME data in newer versions of Sierra Chart since version 2355 and to avoid paying exchange fees twice, you really need to move to a different broker.

You should have a lower commission costs and you will have very high quality order routing as compared to Transact. Much safer and superior. That is operational fact.

So you will want to move to the Teton order routing service supported by many brokers now:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

For the time being you can still use version 2354 and earlier to trade your Transact account.

If you are using newer versions of Sierra Chart, you really need to move to Teton order routing.

Service package 10 is equivalent to service package 3 and includes support for the Denali data feed which provides real-time exchange data. Service package 11 is equivalent to service package 5 and includes support for the Denali data feed which provides real-time exchange data. However, accessing CME data has special requirements imposed by the CME:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

You should have no trouble with version 2354 and earlier connecting to Transact unless there is some Transact issue related to that which is not within our control.

Nobody likes this kind service.
Yes and understood. That is why we want you to move the Teton order routing. There is no reason for us to be supporting Transact. These questions are simply just affirming why it is we are phasing out support, for services like Transact. We are providing a high quality unified service through the Teton order routing, supported by brokers who work closely with us. This is what we want you to use. It is definitely in your interest, to be using Teton order routing. Not staying with Transact. If you would like to talk someone about this, we can help with that.

No this is not the case. This is only affected by what version of Sierra Chart you are running. Unless Transact is making some changes that we are not aware of related to trading with Transact from Sierra Chart. However, if you have any technical difficulties with trading your Transact account from Sierra Chart, we no longer provide technical help with that. This is why we want users to move to Teton order routing:
Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

We can provide you very good help, when you are using Teton order routing. Just ask. We can refer you to brokers supporting Teton order routing or our own support.

I am with Transact and I have just been told by phone
and notified by email. As of end of trading today Aug
31,2022 orders can NOT be placed by using SC order
system at all which of course includes both the SC
trade window and the SC DOM.

Even though I have been very happy with Transact as a
broker, I apparently have no good option by staying
with them. The only option, which is NOT good, is to
use the Transact DOM for placing orders. This is very
limited in capability. Also NO orders or positions
will be recorded in SC which includes both LIVE and
CLOSED positions. This is TRAGIC. The only way to see
them on a chart is to use the Transact Browser charts.
This is NO GOOD.

Does the 3 mos free SC package 10 for changing brokers
mean any current subscription is just extended by 3
months?

Due to all of the above, PLEASE provide contact info
for any brokers that you recommend for use with SC. I
would contact them as soon as you provide contact info.

Thank you

According to Sierra, the brokers on this list are approved for Teton Order Routing Service (still not sure, what the hell it is), and not just Stage5 brokearge, even though he's been very active in this thread, and if you open an account with them you're supposed to get 3 months of Sierra chart service for free, correct?

To be able to use this service, you need to have a live trading account with one of the following clearing firms or one of their Introducing Brokers:

Still confused with Teton; Does Teton have it's own DOM, or are we supposed to use the broker's DOM? What if we are to use the broker's data feed, instead of Sierra's data feed?

Re Post #58 - You would use the Sierra Chart DOM or Trade Window. We have a customized workspace that looks similar to the TransAct AT. We can help you customize this. In fact, it is our pleasure, so please let us know how we can help.

Teton Order Routing is Sierra Chart's in-house order execution feed. It is like Rithmic, CQG, TransAct, etc.

I hope that helps, and please feel free to keep asking questions. We are here to support.

True, but it also applies to all other clearing firms, and brokerages in the above list, not just Stage5.

If Teton bypasses you (the broker) and sends the order to exchange directly, then who is responsible for order errors, bad executions, no executions, etc., how do you keep track of what your client is doing, as broker?

Stage 5 works closely with Sierra on Teton Order Routing and have since day one. We helped Sierra get connected and test Teton through our own iLink session to the CME. I would say we work extremely closely and are in frequent contact. For issues that may present themselves on the execution, Stage 5 would work with Sierra if we can't determine the root of the issue ourselves.

Our experience with Teton has been superb so far. Stage 5 would be the same as TransAct, Ninja, or other brokers in terms of working with platform issues. This is electronic trading and risks are associated due to that. The Teton order routing goes directly to the exchange, but traders need a broker to be able to connect to gain that access to the markets.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions we can help with.

Thank you,
Anthony Giacomin

The orders go over a CME iLink session provided and monitored by Stage 5. They can see all of your trading activity and can take any action as necessary. They manage all of the risk parameters for your account.

We would like to know if our Transact users can connect to the Transact system at this time using versions 2354 or earlier?

Please let us know.

Transact has shut down access to the system that we use to maintain historical data for Transact users.

While we said the service on our side would be shut down near the end of August or near the beginning of September, this did not happen at this time and was likely to be closer to the middle of September. However, it has happened now because Transact has shut down that particular system . This is something that we do not do but they did.

This does not matter because we have already taken the necessary steps to provide you our Denali Data Feed immediately at the beginning of September 1 which is about two hours away in UTC time. So there no longer is a dependency upon Transact for market data.

Date: 2022-09-01:

Since now Transact themselves have discontinued support abruptly for Sierra Chart, what we have done at this time for Transact users who are running Versions 2429 or earlier, is your installation of Sierra Chart will be automatically updated when it is started.

When you start Sierra Chart you will get a prompt that says: "The installer program has been downloaded. Sierra Chart needs to be closed. Press 'Yes' to close the program or 'No' to not continue with the update."

Click on Yes. And the installer will be run. Press the Install button on the installer and follow through the prompts to go through the installation process.

After the installation is complete Sierra Chart will be automatically started. If not use the Sierra Chart shortcut on your desktop to start Sierra Chart.

If you need any help, just simply start a Support Request on this board and we will help you. Link to start a support request:
https://www.sierrachart.com/SupportBoard.php?do=NewThread&ForumID=0

Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selective Service still needs to be set to "Transact WS" in newer versions of Sierra Chart.

Newer versions of Sierra Chart support market data from our Denali Data Feed and delayed feeds and not trading with Transact. We will post a webinar, as soon as possible about where to go from here.

The reason we are forcing an update is because older versions can no longer be used with Transact and there is no reason to be running an older version and you need to be running a newer version for a seamless transition away from Transact.

After the update, you will begin to receive real-time data from our Denali Data Feed for the entire CME Group.

I just did that and it has been updated to Version 2430, and the chart portion is working well. However, under Data/Trade Service Settings-->Current Selected Service (List)---> TransAct WS [data].

Do I leave it as is, or change it to "SC Data - All Services [data]"?

Thank you.

Previously, I was able to use Transact thru SC on 2 different computers concurrently, and receive data. After updating to v2430 I receive the following error, and no data, on the second system:

SC Data - All Services | Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded.
| MaxConnectionsDifferentDevices = 1, NumCurrentConnectionsDifferentDevices = 2 | 2022-09-01 05:48:36.623

Support, could you advise what to do to get it to work on both systems as before?

Thanks.

Refer to:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Connections

If there have been other data feeds you have used, which allow 2 connections at the same time to receive real-time market data from an exchange where an exchange fee is required and you only pay one exchange fee per month, then they are not following exchange rules. We have known this to be the case with Transact. Sierra Chart cannot do the same thing as it would not be compliant.

Hi Guys,

Sorry to hear about this latest disruption with TransAct. Anthony from Sierra and I gave a webinar where we discuss more Teton Order routing features, the process for getting started with Sierra Chart Teton Order routing, and commission free membership pricing like Tradovate. This includes a screenshot of the customized DOM in Sierra that I believe looks and feels a lot like the TransAct AT.

To watch the recording on this webinar please use the following link - https://stage5trading.com/teton-order-routing/

As always, please feel free to reach out to Stage 5 for questions or assistance. We are here to help and can be reached through the following: 1-312-896-9897 or 1-800-258-6675 or email us at sierrachart@s5trading.com. You can also contact us here: https://stage5trading.com/contact/
