I have an account with ninjatrader brokerages, and I've been using a second CQG connection that I purchased from them in order to receive market data for Sierra Chart. This morning I was unable to connect to data on Sierra Chart, it said the username or password is incorrect. I was told that Sierra Chart no longer supports ninjatrader brokerages, is this the reason I can't connect to data on Sierra Chart? In this case, how do I receive market data through Sierra Chart? Will I need to create a new account at a Sierra Chart supported broker? If you could please advise, I'm a little turned around.

Also I should add, I only use Sierra Chart for charting and place trades through ninjatrader. So I never used Sierra Chart to place trades. I'm just looking to be able to get market data once again.

No this is not the reason because we do nothing technically to prevent the connection. It is really only a case where we want to avoid providing technical support if possible. So we do not know why you cannot connect. That is unknown to us.

To immediately solve the problem, follow the instructions below:
To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions.


Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services".

Press "OK"

And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service)

You can then use the data provided by Sierra Chart independent of your trading service.

What we recommend you do is cancel any additional connections you have through Ninja for Sierra Chart. And then follow the solution here to authorize the CME data at the nonprofessional rates:
