Delayed CFE Data on Trading Evaluator

Hello,

I have three instances installed, one for Rithmic with Apex, one for my personal Ironbeam account, and another for the Trading Evaluator. I like to view VIX alongside my execution chart, and the data is delayed only on the Trading Evaluator instance. It says Delayed at the top of the VIX chart, while my NQ charts display live data.

Trading Evaluator [trading] is selected as the data/trade service for this instance. I have signed all agreements and purchased CFE data.

What else do I need to do to receive live VIX data for this instance?

Are you opening a chart for the VIX futures (VX?##_FUT_CME), as this is the data that you have purchased. If so and this data is delayed, then we would need to see your Message Log by following these instructions:
Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

We will then determine what the problem is.

If instead you are opening a chart for the VIX index ($VIX), then that is part of the CBOE Indices and is not part of the CFE exchange. To get data for the VIX index you would need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and enable the CBOE Indices. Refer to the instructions here:

This is correct.

I have followed the instructions and used the Send for Analysis option along with the VIX futures symbol, VXK22-CFE

There is nothing in the log that indicates an issue with the data.

Please open a new chart for the symbol VXK22_FUT_CFE and let us know if this chart is getting the real-time data.

Hello,

I have tried opening a new intraday chart and selecting the symbol, but the data is still delayed.

The issue seems to be specific to this chartbook.

I duplicated the chart to it's own chartbook, selected Delete All Data and Download, and the data was no longer delayed.

However, when I copied that chart back to the other chartbook, it shows as delayed again. Should I select Delete All Data and Download for the chartbook that I am having the delay issue in?

Okay that's no longer correct. The chart in the new chartbook is now displaying as Delayed as well.

We are not sure why "Delayed" would be displaying, but we do observe that. However, the data is not actually delayed. We do need to look into this.

Also make sure this option is enabled:
Data/Trade Service Settings: Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Other Settings)

Thanks again for your help. I did open an instance on Teton data, saw that the data is comparable, and came to update. But I see you have already found that is the case. I will calm down now. :)
