Alerts Window opening

For some reason my Alerts window has started opening on an alert from a simple formula in a study. First, Global Settings > General Settings > General 2 > Show Alerts Log on Study Alert is disabled. Second, the study is the ZigZag study. It is placed in Chart Region 2, and all subgraphs are set to Ignore except for the Oscillator which is set to Bar. I have a line above and blow the zero line of the Oscillator. When a rotation meets or exceeds that line I want an alert. Under the Alert tab, in the Alert Condition: I have a simple formula - OR(SG9>10, SG9<10). Enabled is Checked, Alert Only Once per Bar is checked, all others are open. This has been working fine. For some reason, Today I've started getting the Alerts window upon each alert. I'm not using an ACS. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions as to where else I can look for a cause. After posting I just realized something. I did make a change. I updated from V2238 to the current version 2256. |

Sorry guys, one more follow up that may be connected. I'm getting alert sounds on my Large Volume Trade Indicator, however I don't have any alerts set in the Alerts tab of that indicator and "Enabled" is not selected. |

With regards to the Zig-Zag alert opening the Message Log: We just tested to ensure that this is working properly in the current release, and it is working correctly. That is to say that if the option for Global Settings >> General Settings >> General 2 >> Show Alerts Log on Study Alert is disabled, then you should not be getting the Alert Log popping up when an alert sounds. Therefore, we are wondering if you are actually seeing the Compact Pop-Up Alert window. Check to see if the following option is enabled for the specific Alert Sound that you are using with that study: General Settings Window: Add Alert to Compact Alert Popup Window (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings) ----------------- With regards to the Large Volume Trade Indicator: Check the Alert Log to ensure what the source of the alert is. It will give you the Chart and the Study information. Track down the source from there and do what you need to from there. Hi, I have the same issue and can't get the Alert Manager window to stop popping out even if I select not to : - Add alert to compact alert window - Show alerts on study alert Please refer to the attached settings screenshot I'm using sierra chart version 2353 Please let me know what to do Thank you |

On the Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2 you have the Input for Volume Alert Number set to a specific alert. This is what causing the alert to trigger, not the Alerts tab of the study. If you do not want an alert for each time a Volume at Price is printed, then do not select an Alert in that Input. Hi, Yes, I actually want that specific alert to be triggered to make a specific sound. What I don't want is to have the alert window to pop up, as the sound for me is good enough. How can I make sure the alert windows does not pop up? Thank you |
