Not getting real-time data

Hi,

I have reactivated my Denali Data Feed, Full CME Group with Market Depth for non-professional traders,
and even though I have my account tru SC Routing Service, I'm still not getting real-time data.

Not sure what is wrong.

You have signed up for the Non-Professional CME exchanges, which means that you need to connect to your live, funded futures trading account at the beginning of each month to qualify for the lower-priced exchange fees. You have not connected to your trading account yet this month. Refer to the following:

You state that you are using the SC Routing Service, but we do not see your account setup for this.

Were you setup with the SC Order Routing service through AMP previously?

Yes, I was setup with SC Order Routing service previously through AMP Futures.

AMP stopped support for the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service about 2 months ago. They should have informed you of this and told you that they were moving your account to use CQG for order routing. If you are not familiar with this, then you need to talk to AMP.

In the end, you will get a set of credentials to login to CQG. Once you have these, then go through the instructions at the following link to setup your Sierra Chart to connect to CQG:

Once the above setup is complete, then you will want to open your Chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service, this will change your symbols to the CQG symbols.

Hi,

So, I figured out my CQG credentials, and followed the setup instructions, but it didn't work. It kept giving me errors such as 'symbol is unknown or not allowed.'

Now, reading through the setup pages, I'm not sure I even need CQG.

My setup before with AMP was for the following reason. I only needed AMP for an account so I could get the non-professional fee for real-time data feed, and Sierra Chart could check automatically that my account existed and had a balance with its SC Routing Service.

My orders are sent through another program, with another company, so I only need Sierra Chart for charting with real-time data at the moment, since it's the best I've seen so far.

If I am correct, is it possible to get just real-time CME data with Sierra Chart only (SC Data - All Services), or do I need to use CQG's Web API?

You still need to have the account with AMP in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. If you have this, however, then you can follow these instructions to connect to that AMP account and have it automatically verify your account without having to connect to CQG once a month.
