Hi Thanks for your quick reply. I only need the market depth for CME, so Do I just activate the CME with market depth for non professional, USD11 per month?
And keep the Full CME group without market depth at USD3.5?

Yes, you can do that. That would give you access to all the symbols from the CME Group while getting Market Depth from just the CME exchange.

You need to complete the EUREX exchange agreements and activate the required exchange. You can do this from here:

Hi there, I would like to add a text display on my chart screen showing the Current price -the Opening,
I like to see the change as the day unfolds,
so the number displayed will change as current price changes, is that possible?

pls advise

thanks!

We are not sure which "opening" you are wanting.

To get the Last minus the Open of the latest bar is relatively easy. You can use the "Spreadsheet Formula" study with a formula of =L - O, and calculate for just 1 bar.

Then to display this, use the "Text Display for Study" and reference the Spreadsheet Formula.

But to do it relative to the open of the day is more difficult and would require the use of the Spreadsheet Study and some fancy equations to get the current day's open and hold that value to test against.

If you have charts from which you can get the different ranges, then you would use the Text Display for Study from Chart study to display the data where/how you want it. Refer to the information here:

Hi there,

I like to highlight the Volume cluster (ie several high volumns appearing together one after the other) on my Footprint, pls advise how to set that up.

Also is there a way where I can set an sound alert to go off, set at eg Opening hours or lunch hours or specific time such as 10 am?

Thanks
Amy

We are not sure exactly the situation you are referring to in this case. Can you give us a screenshot showing the situation and an explanation of what you want.

Also is there a way where I can set an sound alert to go off, set at eg Opening hours or lunch hours or specific time such as 10 am?

Refer to example number 6 at this link:

The easiest way would be to create a new chart that is set to 1 Day bars (you would want to make sure they are Intraday Bars) then use the Highest High/Lowest Low over N Bars study and set it to a length of 10 to get you the past 10 days. Then you can overlay the result to another chart using the Study/Price Overlay.

Refer to the following for the Highest High/Lowest Low over N Bars study:
Highest High/Lowest Low Over N Bars

Refer to the following for the Study/Price Overlay study:

Hi John Hope you are well.

I Like to set different level (strong to weak strength)of market depth ie different level of big pending orders on the same chart.

e.g one at level with min quantity 600-no max, one level with min quantity of 400-599 , one level at min quantity of 200-399, differentiating the strength in thickness or in different colour. So once these MBO are detected at certain price levels, they pop up as lines on my chart

Can you please teach me how?
and do I need to subscribe higher level of data in order to do this?

Many thanks
Amy

If you are really looking for a way to show specific Limit orders from the Market by Order data that are of a certain size, then we do not have any tools to do this. The only thing we have at this time for the Market by Order data is the display of the information in the DOM. Refer to the documentation here:
Market By Order Data

Note that there are ACSIL functions to get to the Market by Order data, so you could develop a study to do what you want.

Also, if you want Market by Order data, then you would need to be on Package 12.

--------

If, on the other hand, you are wanting to see the information for where the entire Market Depth at a price is at those levels, then that is functionality that is part of the Market Depth Historical Graph, and since you are just using the composite values for the Market Depth, you do not need the MBO data for this.

To set specific bands in the Market Depth Historical Graph, you would need to set the study to use Actual Values and set your Actual Color Thresholds for the bands that you want - such as 200, 400, 600. You would then need to adjust the colors as you would want them for each "band".

Refer to the information for the Market Depth Historical Graph here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudiesReference.php&ID=375#Market_Depth_Historical_Graph

Hi there, hope you had a nice weekend.

Like to clarify

what does the Numbers of trades , Number of bid trades and number of ask trades represent in the Studies? How is that different to total volume, Ask vol, and Bid Vol in the number bar study?

Also
Where can I find the number of contracts exchanged
for duration of a (Eg)
Per 5 mins bar in ES ?

Thanks
Amy

Number of Trades is the number of transactions that have occurred. Each transaction contains a certain quantity (volume). Refer to the definitions of Trade and Volume on this page;
Sierra Chart Nomenclature

When you say "number of contracts exchanged" what exactly are you looking for? Number of trades, volume, or something else?

Thanks John

Number of contracts, what I mean is for eg the ES FUTURES, when I LONG :(say) 2 LOT OF ES ie 2 CONTRACTS), and trader A longed 4 lots of ES (4 contracts), while trader B longed 6 lots of ES etc.....
I like to now how many contracts all together were traded during a day, or during a 60 min interval.

Is that possible.

Unless we are missing something, this is just the volume. So you would just need to have a chart set to the time frame you are wanting the information for and then look at the volume numbers for that bar for the time you are interested in.

Hi

I have a 60 Min chart under a Chartbook together with 2 other charts. So I arranged them vertical next to each other. Strange is whenever I maximise that 60 Min chart to see better ,all the graphic such as candles ‘ EMA lines etc all get squashed together , all I can see is a bunch of thick lines. Once I minimise and back to the smaller form , the graphics becomes normal again. The other 2 charts do not have this problems, I can max or minimise them, they will show the same.
Could it be I have set something wrong with that 60 Min chart?
Thanks
