CQG - Order Routing Problems

The order routing system is experiencing technical problems. Compound Orders (OCOs, Brackets, etc) sent from our Chicago risk location are not properly updating in CAST and therefore are missing positions.

If users stay logged in they should continue to see updated orders and positions. If they log off they will lose it.

We have set the margins to 100% exchange until CQG resolves this issue.

All customers will be notified when the system is functioning normally.

CQG - Order Routing Problems - Continues

CQG just provided update (Below) - we are starting our Emergency Actions.
We will begin closing any positions on accounts that do NOT have the 100% Exchange Margin Requirement to carry the position.
> If we close an open position, we will disable trading, so you do not close an Open position showing on CQG > that we already closed on the Exchange.
> If you are not using Compound Orders (per CQG notice below) - your orders and positions should NOT be affected and you can close any open positions you feel are accurate.

AMP is sending out a notice right now , CQG is down , positions are being flattened working orders canceled and margins raised to 100% to prevent trading until this can be resolved.

Hi does anybody know if AMP offers TT with Sierra Chart at all now? Is the Denali-CQG-feed the only option left for us?

Seems the issue persists :-/ Still cannot cancel the profit-target order left.. not sure whether I am flat or not. Tried CQG desktop to cancel the order but no help.

Here's the latest update from AMP at 7.32pm EST:

CQG - Order Routing Problems - CQG has Identified Affected Account

CQG just provided us a list of Identified Affected Accounts by their issue today - Your account is NOT one of these identified accounts.

CQG says their Order Routing issues is Resolved - now working.

What this means:
If you see Open Position on your trading platform, you CAN assume this was NOT affected CQG issue today and you can manage it as you desire.
We are continuing to maintain 100% Exchange margin requirements until fully resolved.

We will continue to provide you updates as they develop.

Or alternatively if you have an affected account like me (17:41 est):

CQG - Order Routing Problems - Identified as Affected Account

CQG just provided us a list of Identified Affected Accounts by their issue today - Your account one of these identified accounts.

What this means:
We do not know if the current position on your trading platform is accurate.
We are working with CQG and the Exchange files to attempt to get the full accurate positions updated during tonight's processing. So your platform will be showing your true accurate position.
Please do NOT just close an Open Position showing on your platform > just because you see it. This could be closing an inaccurate position (because even though we have margins raised to 100% exchange...it would accept an order to CLOSE or liquidate this inaccurate position = create a NEW OPEN position on the Exchange.

We will continue to provide you updates as they develop.

Be patient and let CQG and AMP resolve this, hopefully by tonight.

At least they seem to be handling it better than TT so far.

That´s easy to say. Sierra and CQG mobile are both showing a stop has been triggered (an order I couldn´t cancel or adjust, was part of an OCO that never got filled). Now I don´t know whether I have a position in the market or not. And no one at AMP can help.

So, a message from my broker at 22:21 GMT last night telling me my account has been affected by the CQG debacle. I had to go to bed not knowing what my position was (that was a great night's sleep, waking every 2 hours to check!).

More than 12 hours later I finally get confirmation of my position. I thought I was flat but I had a rogue short in MES, covered (profitably, fortunately) this morning.

I'm going to let it settle for a few days. I just can't be doing with the stress of these order routing outages. That's twice now!

Crack on with your direct to exchange solution SierraChart, We're counting on you!

right after my buy stop (SL bracket) was hit, CQG went down leaving buy limit (PT bracket) active & impossible to cancel. Few minutes after a long position appeared so I intuitively hit Flatten. Now SC showed 'flat' but later when going over SC TA Logs I realized it had to be a 'ghost long' and since I flattened I actually opened a short position. So 12 hours showing flat and then a short position appears. Fortunately this made 100 bucks but I feel far from happy :-/

Pretty scary shit. I congrats myself for the decision to reduce my overall DT risk few days ago and trade a single micro.

I had a rogue long position due to flattening an inaccurate short position and woke up to -70 losses in my account before I was able to close it. I have never dealt with anything like this, is there any hope CQG would right those wrongs and compensate me?

I guess "You get what you paid for" with AMP.

First TT, and now CQG.

Might be worth paying a little bit more for stability and reassurance with a futures broker, as long as SC supports them.

Until SC opens their own direct access.

Was this only an AMP/CQG issue? Were other brokers not affected?

You might be right. AMP are making it increasingly difficult to operate my account anyway with their sudden dropping of transfer services for international payments.

Similar to post 15 above, I entered a buy market order with an attached OCO. It appeared that it didn´t execute, and the sell limit disappeared, but the sell stop remained and I couldn´t cancel it or adjust it. The market rallied over 30 ticks from there, but I didn´t appear to have a position. Much later in the evening the market fell and the sell stop was triggered. AMP said they couldn´t do anything. An hour later a fill for the original buy market order appears as a closing trade for the sell stop, costing me 20 ticks. Between CQG and AMP, what a total and utter bunch of clowns!
