Switching to use Sierra chart on a different computer

Hi I got a new computer which I would like switch to when using Sierra chart. So I downloaded the lattest version, however when I logged in, I can not find any of my chartbooks, which I set and saved in my old computer... is there something i need to set to retrive my chartbooks from my Sierra chart on my old computer! Pls advise, thanks Amy

Your information is all stored on the local computer. So you need to copy it from the old computer to the new one. Hi I like to add a ATR line on my main chart following the prices like a trailing stop, but with value multipled by say 4. Eg ATR line 10 averages =1.25 x 4= 5. And when my moving averages 10 line crosses the multiple ATR line , if crosses Up, the multiple ATR line will be a green line and if passes down through the multiple ATR line, will switch to red. Is there an existing indicator for that? otherwise Pls advise how can I do that? Thanks so much! Amy

You would need a few different studies. First, you need the ATR study. Refer to the following: Average True Range Then you would need the arithmetic studies to multiply it. Refer to the following: Using the Basic Arithmetic Studies And finally, you would need the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition to change the ATR Line color. Hi John Thanks for the help. I found one Study setting Kiwi Trailing stop which has the ATR and the multiple add on, that save me setting it up. Can I just add in my EMA 10 line and create an alert (an alert of arrows up / down or change in colours of the EMA line) once my EMA line crosses up or down pass the ATR multiplied line created bytes Kiwi Trailing Stop study? Is that possible? if so How? Thanks so much s so far for your help. Amy

In order to get Arrows or color changing you would need to use the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study. Hi I currently use sierra charts on one pc but If i buy another computer and want to download sierra and copy my chartbook files over can i just download sierra log in and resume as normal or does this come at an extra cost?

There is no extra cost to running Sierra Chart on a new computer. You can also run Sierra Chart on both computers, if you like. The only issue with running on both computers is the exchange fees. The exchanges have their own rules about this, and they insist that you pay an additional exchange fee to have the data available on both computers at the same time. Hi, some query which I hope you can help me out. I have used Ninja Trader as trading platform for a funding Company which uses Rithmic data feed, software installed on the same computer where I have my Sierra Chart Now I would like to join a different Funding company for evaluation which uses Rithmic data feed too, and they say I can use Sierra chart as the trading platform insated of Ninja.. Since Ninja Trader would not allow log in simultanteously with two different funding companies. Is it so that I can use Sierra chart as trading platform for these funding companies? and I can use the same Rithmic which I installed already on my computer for Ninja ? Do you have Sierra Chart users doing similar ? Can you advise how I can set it up?I I have always used Sierra for charting onlynot for trading ... can you pls advise me how to start? Many thanks Amy

If we are understanding you correctly, you want to be able to access two different funding companies, both of which use Rithmic for their connectivity. In this case, to get Sierra Chart to work with both you will need to have 2 separate installations of Sierra Chart on the same computer. Refer to the instructions at the following link for how to install a second Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart You will then setup one Sierra Chart to connect to one funding company and the other Sierra Chart to connect to the other funding company. We see that you are using our data feeds for the CME Group, EUREX, and the HKFE. You will be able to get all of this data into both installations of Sierra Chart without having to do anything special or pay any additional fees. There are not hotkeys to do what you are asking. The reason we have never implemented something like this is how do we know what chart you want when you select the hotkey? Best case, you would have to set it up ahead of time, but if you change any charts, then the hotkey will no longer work. This is one of these things that then creates more support for us. Hi I added the Linear regressive slope studies to my chart, it appeared on the chart region 2 below my chart with candles and prices,however when I changed the chart region to 1’ bec I want the slope to appear there so I know if price is above or below the line’ the slope disappeared! The length I m using is 150. Pls advise how to set it so it is overlayed onto my price chart Thanks

We do not have the data for the Tokyo exchange. You would have to see if your trading service has this data.
