This thread is going to contain all of the questions and answers we are seeing, at least what are relevant regarding the problem that TT had during the week of February 14, and the decision by AMP not to continue to support TT.

And since TT is used in the background for our Sierra Chart Order Routing Service we will explain what this means, and what our plans have been, and what we are going to do.

AMP has told us, that also XTrader (A TT product) users were also significantly affected in the same way by the TT issue last week. It was not just Sierra Chart users using TT accounts, which the Sierra Chart order routing service connects to.

If your account is with AMP and you have been using the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service, you will need to follow the instructions here:
TT Based Order Routing Service: TT Interruption | Post: 252374

1. Did AMP end support for the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service or instead specifically TT?

What AMP has ended is specifically TT. Not the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service.

They made a decision not to continue to support TT accounts on the TT FIX service which the Sierra Chart Order Routing service uses. The reason for this decision is obvious, it has to do with the technical problems encountered with TT.

And since the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service at this time only works with TT, then effectively AMP customers cannot use it.

They have no concern with the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service specifically. This service works exceptionally well and has had no faults at all during the incidents from TT last week.

And it has always been our plan to replace TT with our own direct exchange order routing and completely bypass TT. From documentation:
It is our plan to offer direct integration to the CME trading gateways which this service will use. This is currently being worked on.

From:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service: Introduction

2. How soon will you have your own direct CME order routing available?

At this time the development is primarily complete. There are some remaining items, related to testing, backup, and risk controls (complete but some small refinements) that we need to still work on.

We need to go through a second test with the CME since the first testing, was in what they call their test environment rather than certification.

All of this can be done within 30 days but that does not necessarily mean that it will be ready for release within 30 days because there are additional steps to actually have it be used for live purposes by clearing firms.

3. Will AMP support the Sierra Chart direct CME order routing?

Based upon our discussions with them the answer is definitely yes. Obviously this is after all of the certifications, risk controls and approvals are in place.

And what users will find, is that there is a huge difference between our direct routing, and using TT. All of the TT complexity and issues are completely removed. And instead, there is a simple and stable and reliable interface to the CME for order routing.

It will just work consistently, and be comfortable for everyone. There has been a lot of thought, development and effort to ensure this is the case.

4. What do we do in the interim, for order routing?

You need to use the CQG Web API for order routing for now:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

We recommend using CQG just for order routing only and using the Denali data feed for CME Group and EUREX data:
Questions and Answers Regarding TT (Trading Technologies) and AMP

We have a brand-new, EUREX EOBI high-performance an enhanced data feed now available on the Denali Exchange Data Feed.

This continues to be strongly recommended by us. The Denali data feed is a data only service, and it works with all supported Trading services.

And we know that on our CQG page, that if you are just trading the CME markets, that we recommend using the Sierra Chart order routing service because it does provide many advantages. But at this time for AMP users that cannot be used.

Rithmic is also working on new integration to Sierra Chart using the DTC protocol and that will be available soon. Sierra Chart continues to be an open platform supporting any service that is willing to interface to it.

5. Are server-side OCO order supported with CQG?

Yes.

6. Are server-side bracket orders supported with CQG?

Not through Sierra Chart because we have seen problems, with the way those orders are managed on the CQG side. We have not supported them with the CQG Web API.

We will have a look at this again to see what we can do in the meantime to support them through the CQG Web API assuming no technical complications.

7. Will EUREX trading be supported through the Sierra Chart order routing service? EUREX was mainly supported through AMP through that service. And since they have removed support for TT FIX, you would have to check with other brokers to see which ones support EUREX on TT.

As far as direct routing to the EUREX, on the Sierra Chart order routing service, we do intend that but really it is not likely to come until significantly later. Hard to give a time estimate but should be within the year, 2021, if we do proceed with it (No guarantees yet though).

8. Can the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service be used with other brokers?

Yes. This service is still supported through all other clearing firms.

We have an account on the TT system, with another clearing from, which we will not mention, which we use with the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service and we have had no problems other than not being able to enter orders, February 14, approximately 6 PM to 7:30 PM US Eastern time.

We use that account now, and there are no operational problems.

Most of the order flow that we process through the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service is with other clearing firms.

9. Can we still use the Sierra Chart order routing service for this purpose documented here:

Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement

We will work with AMP to come up with a solution that does not involve TT to accomplish this. We think this is very achievable with them.

10. Finally, we have never put our full reliance on TT.

We have always known if we have trouble with TT, that we can always use CQG, or our own direct routing to replace TT.

We have always had contingency plans in place.

Sometimes we would be asked by brokers, about our reliance on TT, and thinking that we were just going the "TT" route. That was never the case, and we have always made that clear to them. We never put our full reliance on TT and would never do that.

We always had alternatives in place. And while last week we did talk about replacing the TT connection with CQG with the Sierra Chart order routing, because our own direct CME routing is so close to being released, we decided that it would be best for us just to focus on our own direct routing rather than this CQG side project. Which will only cause confusion by customers and clearing firms.

We will go through all of the threads and make sure all questions on the subject matter herein, are answered. This will be the one commonplace we will refer users to because there are just too many questions otherwise.
