Hi SC Support,

I hope you and your families are staying healthy. I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with:
1. In light of the posts you have made about Interactive Brokers, I am going to seriously look into changing to a different broker and FCM. Since that will mean making some significant changes to my data service, routing, etc. and we're nearing the end of the month, will it be possible for you to "hold" my account until I get things sorted out? If I don't pay for next month's exchange fees and data will that happen automatically? What I'm trying to avoid is a $400+ bill from CME because I won't be connected to a funded account at the start of the month if I work on applying for a new account over the next few days and put off paying for next months services until that's taken care of.

2. I want to avoid going through this sort of thing again, so is Tradovate in conjunction with Dorman as the FCM a combination that you'd recommend or do you recommend something else? If I'm making the switch anyway, I'd rather go with whatever combination of services you've found to work most reliably.

3. Unrelated to the questions above, but if I opt to receive data on some stocks like APPL and NVDA, would features on Sierra Chart such as cumulative delta, number bars, volume profile, and Market Profile work accurately (I realize that the tick size may need to be set higher than 0.01)? I'm wondering if those studies would work since equities don't trade on a centralized exchange. I would likely execute trades through ThinkorSwim, but Sierra Chart is significantly more robust and feature-rich so I'd like to be able to do my analysis on this platform.

Thank you for your time.

First, are you just trading futures? Since we have no other choice for stock trading and you need to stay with Interactive Brokers. If they are working fine, just stay with them. We just do not want to be burdened with the support from them any longer.

1. You will just want to disable the renewal for the Denali exchange data feed:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation#DenaliExchangeDataFeed

2. No do not use that combination. It involves CQG. We would rather you stay with Interactive Brokers instead. We will contact you about an alternative.

3. Yes definitely all of these studies will work well in combination with the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:
would features on Sierra Chart such as cumulative delta, number bars, volume profile, and Market Profile work accurately

I appreciate the quick response. Yes, I am only going to be trading futures through Sierra Chart, so I don't need to stay with Interactive Brokers for that purpose. I place stock trades through ThinkorSwim. I haven't personally run into issues, but I'm leaning towards switching after reading this: "We are not going to be doing anything further with Interactive Brokers. Development has ceased with Interactive Brokers integration and we have no intention of working with the FIX protocol with them. (comment #11 on the IB thread)" I care more about using Sierra Chart than staying with Interactive Brokers, so I think I'd rather just change to a different service that you recommend.

1. I will do that for the time being while I get things sorted out. In that case, I'd still be able to access delayed data for SIM trading with package 5, right?
2. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you on what you'd recommend instead.
3. That's great to know, I'll likely wind up setting up the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed in conjunction with the Denali Feed.

There is no cost for the call.

Yes you can use the Delayed Exchange Data Feed:
Delayed Exchange Data Feed

2. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you on what you'd recommend instead.
What we recommend is the Sierra Chart order routing service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

It is supported by several different clearing firms.

Now for whatever reason if you do not want to use that then we recommend staying with Interactive Brokers.

3. That's great to know, I'll likely wind up setting up the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed in conjunction with the Denali Feed.
Ok just let us know if you need more help.

Hi User753624, thank you for your time on the phone today

see item #2 here for the list of Brokers / Clearing Firms that support the TT-based Order Routing service.
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartOrderRoutingServiceWithData.php#SetupInstructions

Regarding the Trading Evaluator, you got the "Trade Account Not Assigned" error, likely because you didn't "Create your own account for the Trading Evaluator", see here for the instructions on setting up a Trading Evaluator Account.
