SC:

How come I can't get quotes for CLF0? That is the front month in CL oil now. Using a Rithmic feed.

Thanks in advance.

This is a Rithmic issue. We are not able to solve this. We recommend that you move to the Sierra Chart order routing service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

If you are doing simulated trading you can use this service:
Simulated Futures Trading Service

In the interim, activate the Denali Exchange data feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

This will also solve the problem by using the Denali Exchange data feed.

But please take our advice and move off of Rithmic. Sierra Chart has poor quality integration to Rithmic. This latest issue looks like something on the Rithmic side. And we are not even able to troubleshoot it due to Rithmic software issues.

Thanks SC but I am a OneUp Trader. I am still able to use the Denali data feed?

If you do not have a funded trading account, no you cannot use the Denali exchange data feed because the exchange fee costs are going to be too high.

The only suggestion we have at this point in time is we can put your Sierra Chart account on hold.

Please understand, there is no solution from our side. Do you have a funded trading account? And are you receiving real-time CME data through Rithmic?

Through OneUp Trader I am in the process of being funded. Therefore, I am allowed to get real time CME data. Since I am a OneUp Trader, changing to another data feed is not an alternative for me. I have to use the feed into SC that OneUp Trader allows.

Since my quotes for GC, NQ, YM and RTY are fine, please don't put my SC on hold. You guys are the best. Thank you for your help.

Rithmic has resolved the historical data issue. If there is any missing data, follow the instructions here:
Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Retrying the Download When There is Data in the Chart

So everything fine and stable at the moment.

If the issue is resolved i still can't get historical data for CLF0? My mouse will only go to 9:48 on the CLFO chart for today so therefore I can't go back in time to redownload the info per the info in the link you posted just above this post.

I just tried to open a CLF0-NYMEX chart on another computer and instead of opening the current month which is CLF0 your software opened CLF2. So the issue is NOT RESOLVED. Please fix this so I can get the CLF0 quotes on my charts. I have tried to get quotes for symbol CLF0-NYMEX on two separate computers and neither one will download the data for the front month for CL oil.

Thanks.

I just closed down the chartbook for the CL and I had the symbols all set to CLF0 and when I started the charts back up they are for CLG2 back in time. This is still not fixed. Your charts with Rithmic are still not displaying the correct front month of CLF0 and they are still not displaying the historical data for CLF0. Please fix this.

I just saved the CLF0 charts again that i had in that chartbook and tried one more time to load up the charts and the Sierra Charts are instead bringing up charts for CLG2, back in time. That is twice i have saved the chartbook with CLF0 on it and then when I start it back up, it brings up CLG2 back in time. This is clearly NOT FIXED. Please fix this so that I can get on with my OneUp Trader program using the CLF0 charts. Thanks.

I just tried to go from a natural gas chart for Dec 2019 to the Jan 2020 data and it has the same issue as CL oil So when I change my chart from NGZ9 to NGF0 then info starts from 18:00 Eastern Standard Time and NOTHING prior to that is available.
So that means that when that symbol has to rollover to the front month of NGF0 it is going to have the same issue as CLF0 is having right now. Please fix this.
Thanks.

STill unable to get historical data for CLF0 before 18:00 EDT yesterday. Also when I save a chart with CLF0 on it and then open that whole chartbook after having SAVING it all, SC starts up the next time and puts CLG2 data on the chart. This happened on TWO separate computers. That points to an issue in your charts.

Also, I have noticed that if i try to change my NGZ9 chart to NGF0 it has the same issue that CLF0 is having. I suspect that all symbols are going to have this issue when they try to roll to Jan 2020.

This is still NOT fixed. Please fix this. Thanks.

In regards to post #8 through post #13, you need to update to the current version of Sierra Chart. Instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

Do not post further about this problem. There are too many repetitive posts unnecessarily taking our time.

We are going to be locking out old versions for Rithmic users, at the end of the day today. And force a mandatory update.

I tried to update on two separate computers to the current version and the installer freezes on the line that reads:

Received file:SierraChartStudies.dll

I am trying to follow your directions but the installer is freezing!

I sent you the log on both computers.

The update to the current version finally worked. It just took longer than usual...a lot longer.
Also, your charts no longer bring up the wrong month of CLG2. We will hope for the best for now.

Thanks again. SC are the best.

We are looking into the slow speed with downloading installation files which occurs at times.

Can you try updating Sierra Chart again after the market close and see if it is much faster. Just use Help >> Download Prerelease. We changed to an alternate server for the files.

I'm scared to change to another version now; but, I will make an exception and try it. Give me about 40 minutes. :-)

No need to. We have done our own testing. The software downloading process is multiple times faster now.

I just tested it anyway; and, even on my little laptop, it is very fast.
