I had been using the "current" version of Sierra Charts until the connectivity failed yesterday with TransAct Trading. I contracted Infinity and my broker said that there are "stability" problems with Sierra Charts and to use version 1941 and the 64-bit version does not work but the 32-bit is working but it is constantly dropping the data feed and the reconnecting process is now becoming a continuous process and the charts are unreliable for trading so a "fix" to the software is needed asap ! ! !

We will report this to Transact again. The issue is with a websocket data issue on the Transact side and also the websocket connection on the Transact side does not support trading.

So just use version 1941 for now. Here are instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

And for the record, the websocket functionality in Sierra Chart is extensively used with CQG and BitMex users with far more than a thousand users, with no problems ever like this for years. Nothing like this at all. And the websocket connectivity has been extensively examined by us and we just do not see any problem at all on our side.

and the 64-bit version does not work
What exactly do you mean by this?

We did hear from Transact, and actually what the problem is that the server we were testing on is different than the production server you are using. The Transact server you are connecting to is not compatible with the JSON decoding we are using.

We need to switch back to the binary price packet processing. We are going to do that now and release version 1983. This will be out in about 10 more minutes.

This is now Wednesday afternoon and I am still having stability issues with my version 1941 64-bit that I have been told to use. The charts do not stay connected but a few seconds after a historic data download but for the past four hours even the historic download does not seem to execute and I have not been connected to the LIVE SERVER all day. Can someone please respond to me and tell me what you are doing to correct the problem ! ! ! Thank you.

This is not a problem with Sierra Chart itself. You are using Transact. And this is also not a stability problem with Sierra Chart at all. A stability problem refers to something else.

Do you need to trade from Sierra Chart? If not, then you can update to the latest prerelease and use the new websocket connection to Transact. Let us know and we will give you instructions.

I have patiently been waiting several weeks for the connectivity issue between TransAct and Sierra Charts to be resolved and had daily periodic lose of connections with the TransAct server following your instruction to use the "latest prerelease" (see above engineering reply) and that worked until yesterday (as well as this this morning) as I have now totally lost connection to a TransAct data-feed and my Sierra Charts do not update the price quotes. I now receive a continuous message: "Connection error from service: TransActWS|Account logon error. -1(-1) Date-Time: ...." Can you please update me on what is your solution to this TransAct connection issue and how much longer I have to wait for corrective action to be taken to resolve this problem so I can use the Sierra Charts for trading?

In regards to the account logon error. Follow the instructions here to resolve:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TransAct.php#AccountLogonError

You just need to have Transact allow the connection.

Also update to the latest release, 1991, following the instructions here:
