I'm trying to connect on the FXCM server that you have shown to me : "FXCM Demo Trading (Standard) - DTC",
but i can not add a login or a account number, because there are no case where i can put it.

I have tryed to connect to the data feed like that : just after had selected the right fxcm server,
i have clicked on file menu and connect to data feed, but i can not connect to the data feed

that's my Sierrachart logs file here :

Okay we see what the problem is. You have two Sierra Chart accounts and the account that you are using on this Support Board is the account that the FXCM demo account was assigned to. But you are using Sierra Chart which is trying to connect to the FXCM service, with a different account.

Refer to:

thank's! it's now working good!

therefore, do you know how i can overlay my existing alerts from the CQG data feed connected to my main
sierrachart platform, to the FXCM data feed connected on the second copy of Sierrachart?

thank's

You can access the FXCM data in the instance of Sierra Chart which is connected to CQG. Would that work for you?

Yes i can get it from the CQG data feed connected to SierraChart, of course!

But, i need to trigger an action on a CFD instrument (from FXCM) which is coming from an alert from the futures instrument!

Let's imagine, i get an alert to buy the market on the 6E futures (eur/usd) from CME (received with CQG), and i would like to apply these alert on the FX contract (EURUSD).

Do you know how i can proceed ?

More of that, if i have a connected FXCM account to my SC station, do you know if i can exploit some alerts received from the futures market on a first SC instance or platform, and use it on a second SC instance, or on a second SC station opened?

Which is the best solution that i have to studie ?

Yes, this is possible. So you want to access the futures data in the instance of Sierra Chart used to trade with FXCM.

This can be done. We need to do a little set up on our side but it is going to require that you use this data feed:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

Let us know if you want to proceed.

So then do you want to just have access to the Forex futures symbols when using FXCM? If so, we can do that.

Please confirm so we do not forget about this. It only takes us about a day to get this done. Really just about 30 minutes. But just allow up to a day.

Hello dear support group!
Thank's for your quick reply!

basically, i have different alerts that are printed on my chart, and i'm
using an automated trading strategy which is based on these alert.

These alert need a futures data feed because i'm using the volume and the market depth data to
get my signals!

Therefore, i want to trade these alert on a CFD broker, like FXCM!
I know that i can already have the FXCM data feed (for reading or trading yes) ; but i need to know
how can i use my alert from the futures data feed (why not the SC futures data feed) and trade these
alert on the cfd market with FXCM.

Alerts are received on one futures data feed, and trading action with this alert are made on an other one data feed (fxcm for example).

That's my main need :)

Thank's for your help!

We will add the CME Forex futures symbols to the FXCM services, so you have access to them, but you will need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for the real-time data for them:

Hello dear Support group!

If i understand well, basically, i just have to subscribe to the SC futures data feed,
then connect my SC station to an FXCM account, and put a tick on "allow support for sierrachart data feed" on the
data trade service window ?

If yes, i will only need one instance of SC station right ?

Please confirm me this information, in order that i set that this week!

thank's a lot

Yes this is all correct. You will see the future symbols now listed in File >> Find Symbol >> Futures-Currencies.

Ok great!

So, if i use one SC instance connected to an FXCM account, with the SC futures data feed activated with it, i will be able to
get the futures currencies instrument data!

Let's imagine that i work on the 6E futures contract, when one of my HFT alert will be triggered with my automated trading strategy,
the opened position will be directly opened on the FXCM CFD/FX account ? (even if the data are coming from a futures data source) ?

If yes, it will be excellent! :)

If it is not the case, should i look for a specific studies to build the connection between the two data feed or it is already done today ?

Thank's for help and your quick reply!

Very good!
i have just checked that!

I can see on your documentation that we can also adjust the tick size with a price multiplier! It is very usefull.
Does it work for the entire instrument selection from FXCM ? or only for forex instrument?

For example, if i get the market depth data from the CME emini nasdaq100 and if i trade the NAS100 from FXCM,
will it be ok?

thank's!

You can certainly make these adjustments for any symbol, but you have to really understand what you are doing and whether it makes sense or not. From our perspective we are not sure what you are exactly intending.

basically i just want to get my trading signals from a futures data source (for example SierraChart futures data feed), then trade these signals on a cfd/fx source (as fxcm).

That's all!

The goal is to benefit from the market depth data from a futures contract, and trade the underlying on a CFD or FX contract!
the other ultimate aim is to run my automated trading strategy (working now on SierraChart with a futures data feed) directly on a CFD/FX broker!

Thank's for your help

Okay, but remember the pricing is different between the futures and cash market, so you have to work out the details of different pricing. That is not something we can help with.

Just a tip:

Check fxcm out first. They lock up your money for up to 3 months....so you cant transfer money back to your bank account. They are still in financial trouble due to the CHF debacle and use customer money to earn them some interest.

Hey dear SC support!
thank's for your reply!

So now, you can confirm to me that the connection to the FXCM account in real time/live is ok and can be "coupled" with a sierrachart futures data feed?

Do you plan to add this same "solution" for other FX/CFD broker?

For example if i want to use the SC futures data feed to get the data and my signals, and trade these signals on an other CFD broker, like Dukascopy or LMAX ? Does it possible ?

Thank's for your reply

And thank's for the tip regarding FXCM....

You can do the same with LMAX.

Yes but just LMAX. But before you do this, let us know so we can make sure the symbols are listed for LMAX.

for the moment, i would like to try with FXCM first!

But i have a simple question :

--> should i open a new FXCM demo account and link it on my SC account to be able to do my backtest in demo mode ?

or

--> should i only try the SC futures data feed with the FXCM symbol added on the chart setting windows as a "traded symbol" without an FXCM demo account ?

thank's

In regards to this, we have already assigned an FXCM demo trading account to your Sierra Chart account.
