Daily chart is ok. However, intraday chart like 5 min or 15 mins chart can't be shown. Looks like download ok, is there a port IP to be reset for this? NQU17 5 Min #1 | Currently no data in file to display. Will start historical data download and real-time updates. Have two charts open, select 'Tile Window--vertically', still one chart for the screen? How to get two charts shown on split screen? How to get 2 mins. chart instead of fixed 1m, 5m, etc.? As for real time acct balance by Sierra, why it has to go w/ Rithmic? Rithmic is just a data feed? |

You need to open another chart. Refer to: Getting Started, Opening Charts and Basic Trading: Open Chart We can tell you that you have not even read over the Getting Started instructions. That is what you need to start with. Can detach the charts. However, how to split one window to get 5 min and 1 hr charts in the same window? How to shift chart time axis from current time to one day ago by mouse? Price axis can be shifted by moving the cursor. Have been using Sierra chart for a few weeks. The setup is not intuitive, like grids, zooming, etc. They are scattering around too many sub-menus, difficult to find. You don't want users to remember +100 functions during busy trading moment. It should be by simply moving cursor or a few sub-menus like TS or TOS. One more time, is there real time acct balance and orders filled update by Sierra/Rithmic? |

And then you can arrange the windows like an ordinary window which you should know how to do. Or you can use the Overlay (Bar) study:Overlay - Bar How to shift chart time axis from current time to one day ago by mouse? Do you not see a scrollbar at the bottom of the chart? Surely you must know how to use the scrollbar? The setup is not intuitive, like grids, zooming, etc. They are scattering around too many sub-menus, difficult to find. You don't want users to remember +100 functions during busy trading moment. This is totally untrue. We do not know how you come to this conclusion. You really need to read the documentation before making further statements like this.The horizontal and vertical grids are accessible from the Chart menu. Refer to: Chart Menu: Horizontal Grid (Chart menu) And "zooming" is fully interactive on the chart itself by using mouse/pointer interaction: Working With Charts: Changing Bar Spacing (we recommend using the dragging timescale method to change bar spacing) Working With Charts: Interactive Scaling: Compress/Expand Vertical Scale, Move Chart Up and Down One more time, is there real time acct balance and orders filled update by Sierra/Rithmic? In regards to the Account Balance, this we are not sure of. However, whatever Account Balance data is sent by Rithmic, Sierra Chart will process it and display it immediately as it is received. You really need to ask Rithmic this question.

Ok overlay bars can be used to place 2 charts in one window, but it's like horizontal split. What I'm looking for is vertical split of two charts at different time frames in one window. What's the setup for this? Don't be defensive on my comments about your chart is not intuitive. You do have good features. However, compared to TS, almost everything is by graphics itself, user shouldn't rely on manual docs. No time for this in real time trading. Your vertical and horz. grids are in separate menus to set up, also too many menus and sub-menus, etc. My feedbacks is for you to improve to be more user friendly. Hope you take this positively. |

The menu commands enable and disable them and there are both keyboard shortcuts and control bar buttons for those as well.In Chart >> Chart Settings is where you can configure them with more detail. The Sierra Chart design overall is very very good compared to a lot of the junk software designs out there. We already have a large user base who relies upon Sierra Chart designed the way it is. You are already used something that works a certain way. So it does take time to get used to something new. It is not something we would change. There may be small incremental changes as necessary and needed but you should never expect any major change. We would not do that. What I'm looking for is vertical split of two charts at different time frames in one window. What's the setup for this? You can place two charts side by side. Let us know if you need help with that. You cannot do what you want within a single chart window though.
