Account Balance and Positions Not Showing in Platform

Hi, I have a trial with SierraChart, and my account balance and positions aren't showing in the platform?

Confirm that you are using the Rithmic trading platform service with Sierra Chart?

You should see the account balance data on the Balance tab:

Yes, I'm using Rithmic for a data feed. I'm not seeing anything at all on the Balance tabe, and I'm not seeing my positions on the Positions tab.

I disconnected from the data feed, and reconnected. Still nothing on the Balance tab, or the Positions tab.

We know our prior response is not the best answer but we do not have any direct control over the data received from the Rithmic system.

Problems with Account Balance data is generally something that we would not help with for various reasons. Primarily because the we have no control over that data and it is not regarded as critical data for Sierra Chart.

Our main concern is whether the current Trade Positions in your trading account are being displayed. There really should be no trouble with that. They will be displayed on the Positions tab:
Trading Information Windows: Trade Positions Window

If that is not correct, then there is a problem. However, there are no known problems like this with Rithmic at this time that we are aware of.

The orders are showing up in the Orders window, but not in the Postions window. Nothing ever shows up in the Positions window.

So you have a current Position in your trading account and the Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Positions tab is just blank?

Do you see the current Position displayed on the Trade Window for a chart:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Position Quantity@Price: / P: (Compact tab)

I have the Trade Orders and Postions window up in the platform.

When in a trade or not in a trade...
Order Tab: shows orders.
Positons Tab: shows nothing.
Balance Tab: shows nothing.

OK, this is unusual. We do not normally hear about a problem like this with Rithmic and it is not easy for us to know what the cause is.

Once again do you see the Current Position Quantity on the Trade Window for the chart:

The reason you did not see the current Trade Positions on the Positions tab is because Simulated positions are not displayed there.

They are displayed in a centralized location through the Trade Stats for Charts tab:

I want to be able to set a separate sound file for Filled, Target, and Stop. This documentation does not explain how to accomplish this. I'm setting alerts under Global Settings/General Trade Settings.

You just specify different Alert Numbers in Global Settings >> General Trade Settings for each of these.

And then you can set up a different sound file for each of those Alert Numbers as explained here:
