Order not making it from Sierra to Interactive Brokers

I'm having issues sending a trade from Sierra to IB. When I try to send the order, I get the following: Interactive Brokers | Symbol Error: Unknown symbol with ID 4957 is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. | 2015-11-27 08:25:57 This occurs for: MSFT-STK-SMART/NASDAQ I think it has something to do with the naming convention. To get Apple to display in Sierra, I just have to type "aapl", and I can send orders without issues. But for Microsoft, I have to type "MSFT-STK-SMART/NASDAQ". I can see the chart but can't send orders. I think the naming convention is causing the issue. Is there a setting in Sierra or IB that I need to alter to get it work? In our case, the order is not even responded to from Trader Workstation when using the symbol MSFT-STK-SMART/NASDAQ-USD. Could you please contact Trader Workstation API support with Interactive Brokers. There should be some messaging system through your Interactive Brokers account where you can contact them about this. I contacted Interactive Brokers. They say since the order isn't being transmitted to them, they can't offer any assistance and told me to contact Sierra Chart. Can you offer any other suggestions on your end? I'm hoping I don't get stuck in the middle here. Thanks. |

For this symbol MSFT, you need to use the Stocks With Specified Exchange and Primary Exchange Format: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/IBSymbols.html#Stock MSFT-STK-SMART/NASDAQ Also, if this actually solves the problem, then the order was actually transmitted the TWS and they should have been aware of that.
