WHAT DOES THE REPORT TELL YOU? (6th ask, no answer yet)
It tells us, that the operating system is detecting that Sierra Chart is freezing but the reason is unknown. So it is not really helpful to us. It is of little significance. The first thing we want you to do is to go to the folder Sierra Chart is installed to on your computer: C:\SierraChart\ Make sure Sierra Chart is not running. There is a folder in there named TradeActivityLogs. Rename this folder to TradeActivityLogs_backup Follow the instructions here: Resetting Sierra Chart to a Default State / Restoring Backup Global Configuration File: Resetting Sierra Chart to a Default State Only rename this file and no others: Sierra4.config Start Sierra Chart again. Enable this option: Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Disabling Automatically Opening Files on Startup And only open one new chart through File >> New/Open Intraday Chart. Do you notice a problem with freezing? This is not our experience: Freezing is often caused by a RAM problem.
It would make more sense that faulty RAM, would cause a problem with the computer system being unstable.We do not recommend running any RAM testing. The problem would seem to be related to this: This all happened after a windows update.
We recommend following the instructions above and if you have a problem still, are you able to rollback this windows update?
