hello guys.

now my situation: i have Tradovate as my broker and CQG life as datafeed. when i open now a F.US.USAZ20 than it doing nothing like a black background. and it come a error message from sierrachart to rolling aswell from CQG with wrong market or some else...

my question is you have uploaded a new mesage here: Jan 1, 2021 Changes to Historical Data: Interactive Brokers, CQG
now what is important and needing to do from my side?

i will used your good datafeed for historical datafeed aswell CQG later for life trading! is that possible?

aswell i will have good datafeed for backtesting my systems what i should do?

can you assist me? before you have added the delayed data settings i think this was in may 2020 before this date i have backtested witch your system pretty well menas SC datafeed without any other datafeed providor (CQG etc...) and i had good results. now i have not good results. and i think much secure that this is the reason of the issues. ?!

There is not a new error message related to us no longer giving out our historical data when using CQG. You simply should not get the data. If you are getting an error message then we would need to know what it is stating.

We definitely recommend using the data feeds available from Sierra Chart. You can use these for your data and still continue to trade with CQG. In general, refer to the following information:

If you let us know what exchanges you need access to, then we can help guide you to the right data feed and the Setup Instructions you will need to follow.

yes of cuurse, when i open a NQ 2020 december kontract than comes this attached. and no it is not the fale that i dont translated it to current datafeed symbole code or some else.


okay that is clear that, that is the best choice to use your datafeed included CQG fil etc...


the full CME group! yes well it will help me much when you advise me.

Other special question it is possible that i can work with your Datafeed and without CQG and only you and tradovate?

This is related to the change where we are not subsidizing the CQG historical data any longer. The issue is that the December contracts are no longer the front contracts, and CQG does not serve historical data for old contracts.

For you to be able to get the historical data for those contracts, you would definitely want to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Follow these Setup Instructions to get setup with the Denali Exchange Data Feed:

With regards to your last question, you will still need to use CQG for your order routing, but you will be able to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed. Tradovate does not support the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service.

First thing to do is to add your Phone Number and State/Province (put None if you do not have one) on the Account Management page. These items are required for the Data Feed agreements. You can access the Account Management page here:

On this page, you will find 2 agreements that need to be filled out and signed under the Real-Time Data Agreements section. You may need to scroll down just a bit to see them. They are named the following:
Uniform Subscriber Agreement
CME Non-Professional Certification

Click the link for each one of these and fill out the information and click the Submit button.

Make sure you enter your Trading Account Number and Broker that you use for CQG in the Uniform Subscriber Agreement, otherwise the form will get rejected.

Sorry for the delay, we were away for the New Year's holiday.

Unless the CME Group has you on their list as a Professional Trader (you would know this if it was the case), or if you provide services by trading for other people, then you are not a Professional.

With regards to your agreements, you need to enter your Trading Account information in order to qualify for the Non-Professional rates. According to your information from above, you have an account with Tradeovate using CQG. You need to enter Tradeovate as your Clearing Firm, and enter your Account Number. Please fill out the agreements again specifying this information. You can access the Exchange Agreements on this page:

If you no longer have a Tradeovate account and you do not have another Futures Trading Account, then we recommend using the following service in order to qualify for the Non-Professional exchange fees:

okay! CQG is clear! But wich accountnumber from tradovate or from sierrachart i should write? aswell my question, my other not valid agreements are not active cause wrong sinisghts right? or i must delete cancel the not valid agreements? i will not pay for what i not have to neede for.

by the way, it will muchfull important that you will on future marked this for other customs - cause it will make much disunderstandings.

i am not amused that i can again fill out all. i have asked friednly on start for support, and i must here answer all in 1step and this is easier when i have know all in one post what i should to do. ???

for example. if all is fill out inside the exchange agreements. - what is than with this here: "denali echange data feed point 2? it must be compatible with my initial post above!?" wich kind of the both choises; (eligible" - (not eligible) ????


i will be happy when i can now go in big steps to my/our goal.

You will enter your Tradeovate (CQG) account number.

Your other agreements will be marked as Invalid since they do not have the trading information in them. Go ahead and fill out the agreements again and the new set will go through properly. You can do this right away.

okay perfect than i know now that i didnt pay for multiple agreements. only for one valid! :)

now again my question how is it with the attached picture! sorry but you ignore my question 2 times behind each other. i ask myself what is here usefull for ignoring.

Your agreements have been accepted.

The next step is to activate the Denali Exchange Data Feed. You will do this on this page:

You need to select the option for Denali Exchange Data Feed for All Services (Eligible).

The other option is if you are using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. Since you are not, you need to select the one specified above.

Once you have activated the Denali Exchange Data Feed, then you need to activate a specific exchange. You will do this on this page:

Once the above is complete, then you will be getting the Real-Time data into your Sierra Chart software. If you have any problems with this, let us know.
