I've received a few error messages and sent in the reports that my platform is running slow. And indeed it is. I noticed it last week. It's taking much longer than usual to load charts and cursor/cross hairs is sticky as I move it across charts. Nothing has changed since it was running just fine. No additional charts. No additional programs running simultaneously, etc.. Can we get it running back up to normal speed? |

I'm running it in Safe Mode and no changes in platform performance. Still slow and sticky. I also went through topic 30 as you suggested and nothing has improved performance. All settings appear optimal or near optimal. This Sierra platform slowdown is also occurring while I'm running zero other programs. My computer: Intel i7-6700k, 4GH, ssd, 24GB RAM, 4 core What can we do to get it running normal? Thanks |

It cannot be valid to say that nothing is improving performance with all of the information in help topic 30. That cannot be valid at all. It does not even make any sense. There are so many things you can do like increasing the chart update interval, checking the calculation time of studies and see what studies are taking a lot of calculation time. Also increasing the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit. And as far as what you need to do, you need to look into that. You have created your Chartbook and you know what you are doing. And we have given you the relevant documentation of things to check. There are so many things you can do to improve performance. Also like using sub instances. Well here is what I do know. Two weeks ago my Sierra platform was running fine. I changed nothing. Added nothing. Subtracted nothing. Suddenly my platform runs slow and sticky and takes longer than usual to load. How does that happen? |

Could you please first login with your current Sierra Chart account to this support board with Help >> Support Board. Do not use an expired account. The problem can be related to the increased market activity but we do not know exactly what you are doing with Sierra Chart. Higher market activity in general is not a problem with how Sierra Chart is designed but maybe you are using custom studies which is causing a problem. Maybe there can be other problems. We will put together a new subsection on help topic 30 to explain the most basic common things to do which should help. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
